Hotel Genova Istanbul Old City

Good staff, nice rooms, good breakfast, great location only 2 mins from both the tube and tram with lots of little shops and restaurants nearby

We had a ground floor room, the lobby and room were nice but walking to the room from the lobby did feel a little like going to the basement. We booked very last minute so didn’t really have a choice on the room but if you do I would suggest going for a higher up room

The location, quite close to the University was really convenient. The hotel is small and peaceful.

The breakfast could be more diversified.

the location, it’s near to laleli station, and m2 tram line so it’s easy to go everywhere u want. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast was also nice.

the staff members(receptionist) forced to pay for “ruined towel” it was just hair dye that washes off with warm water (I wash my towels all the time, and I’ve never had any problems with this), but the staff allegedly said that no, it’s already considered damaged property, and I have to pay $15 on the spot — only in cash. I didn’t have any cash and wanted to pay by card, but they wouldn’t let me, saying I had to pay in cash because the terminal wasn’t working. And they said this before I checked out — they just presented me with a fait accompli. I had to find cash and pay. I understand that people want to make some extra money, but I’ve never received this kind of service at any hotel where I’ve stayed before. I’m extremely outraged.
