Seeming Lodge

We loved the hospitality and how welcoming everyone was. Our room was changed to one with a balcony, which made our stay even better. A special mention to Chaami, who went above and beyond by taking us to beautiful places around Nuwara Eliya, showing us the attractions, and sharing interesting information about the area. His kindness, help, and effort made our stay truly memorable.

We loved our host at seeming lodge he made everything so pleasant and easy, offering a full day tour of Nuwara eliya for a great price and was extremely knowledgeable of the local history and culture. The room was all we needed and the facilities did not let us down, the stay was comfortable and the bed was very cosy.

View on the tea plantation, helpful hosts.

No AC / heater in the room, but plenty of blankets.

The facility offers great hill views from the rooms. The staff are nice and the rooms are generally clean.

The hotel is difficult to locate and reach if you are traveling on your own. It is tucked away at the end of a long, winding street that curves up the hill. It was pouring down the day we visited so it was quite difficult to reach the premises. We reached quite late and there was no choice to order dinner at the homestay. We ordered breakfast for the next day which was 8 USD/person. The breakfast was inadequate for each person for that price (they cut up one banana in 3 pieces and gave it to 3 of us, for reference). This was quite disappointing, especially given the location does not allow easy access to the town where you can get breakfast. They also included a 5 percent service charge on top of the final bill even though the Booking fee mentioned that all charges and taxes were included. Payment is also only in cash so one should keep that in mind since there are no money exchanges nearby.
