Nice apartment. Easy bus access. Restaurants nearby. Definitely helps to use the bus to get to the apartment; many stairs to walk up from the lower level. Great air conditioning, beautiful view and extremely nice terrace. There are only a few steps down from the street to get to the apartment.

The apartment was very nice. The only two minimal complaints were - Wifi was spotty and the beds were very firm.

Location was close to local businesses. Not in touristy area.

A long walk up but manageable. When it was hot, we would only aim to go down to the water and up the stairs once, considering the work of the stairs. But that is how Positano is thus would expect this of any other property nearby.

If you can snag this property, then you are the lucky one. Sure it is a zillion steps up on a hill in a town that doesn’t have room to grow, but this location is the #1 place in town where you can take the city bus, and the regional bus, to get you where you need to go. Can you avoid stairs, you ask? No, but this is as close to perfect as this town offers. The regional bus drivers drive very fast like it is an Italian racetrack, and often don’t stop if their bus is full. Sometimes they don’t stop if you want to get off and you push the button, but just yell, “Chiesa Nuova” and they will stop. The market and the ice cream shop are steps away and John and Lucy at the market will make you a sandwich to take on your journey. Now, why haven’t I said a thing about the cottage? Because it was perfect. Perfectly perfect with a view worth a million bucks. Take the ferry from Salerno and you get to add another look at the beautiful village of Positano. We visited Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, and Salerno. You could even visit Pompeii from this location. Be warned. This is not the place to drive. Let someone else be the driver. There is no parking and with the winding steep roads, this is not the place to drive. Have as much fun as we did, and enjoy your stay!
