La Lanterne Chambres d'Hotes

Superb location right in the middle of Sarlat but hidden away from the busy streets and restaurants The onsite hosts Dave & Verna made our stay so enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and they both ensured our stay at La Lantern was so memorable.

We were made aware of the parking issues in advance and once Dave had directed us to the correct free parking facility we had no further issues. The parking link provided got us close using google maps but a better descriptive of how to find the car park would be helpful.

Excellent location, lovely old building

It's very quirky and handy for the town of Sarlat.

There was a festival in Sarlat the weekend we stayed. That meant all the roads were closed and parking was an absolute nightmare. The lady running the hotel was aware of it but didn't trouble to forewarn us. Also, the bedroom was up a very tight spiral staircase. There was a thick rope (bannister) but it had come loose and couldn't be used. The property would be entirely unsuitable to anyone with mobility issues. There is a restaurant of the same name further down the hill and they didn't provide directions to the hotel, perhaps La Lanterne should make themselves better known.
