Guest House EJGA

A lovely stay before we started the Juliana Trail! The room was perfect and the food was great too!

First time in Slovenia and we have been pleasantly surprised by Guest House EJGA. Personnel extremely polite, clean & quiet rooms, good breakfast. Unfortunately we were not able to have dinner due to our planning but the menu seemed to be tasteful. A couple of parking spots are provided by EJGA but there’s also a big free parking just in front of it.

The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. We were looking for a place that had dinner and breakfast and both were excellent. Their life story and willingness to engage guests in conversation is part of what makes it a great place for a stay in the area.

Location, very close to Jenesice railway station, convenient for catching early morning trains

The check-in is the worst in my many years of travel. I had to check-in at their saloon bar. I don’t mind that. But the bar man who was also the reception check-in ignored me and kept me waiting for over 10 minutes while he cleaned beer glasses and served beer to customers. His attitude was totally unacceptable for a front-line customer role. Only when I walked back out of the front door did he chase me and said he could now do the check-in. His hostile attitude coloured the rest of my short stay at EJGA and I shall not stay there again. Furthermore the €110/night is not value for money. The room was far smaller than expected, there was no in-room tea or coffee, no air conditioning or fan, and the downstairs bar noise (music) filtered in to the shower room. I have just left a Booking.com host in Murzzelschlag Austria who provided a fantastic small apartment + kitchen for €75/night. And the host was friendly and helpful.
