Boutique Hotel Zaan

It was a beautiful room, very clean with a comfortable bed. The view was of the main street, which was interesting to watch. There were some restaurants and stores around it. All of that was quite good. Staff was also pretty amazing.

I specifically asked for a place to stay that had an elevator. I don't know if they had elevators in other buildings, as there are at least three of them associated with this hotel. But my building did not. And I was on the third floor. And Dutch stairs are not known for being easy to maneuver. Also, the building was about a block away from where you check in. I happened to arrive on a day when it was pouring rain. I had traveled from England, and I was TIRED. Granted, the staff member walked me over to the building and carried my bag up those stairs. I still had to get it down myself when I left, which was not easy (woman traveling alone). While the room was great, getting there was not great. I would not recommend this for a solo traveler with heavy luggage.
