Beautiful Georgian House in a lovely rural location within easy walking distance of the village of Penpont, and a short drive from Thornhill and Drumlanrig Castle. The house has been tastefully decorated and furnished by the owner Elizabeth Anne. Elizabeth Anne and her colleague and friend Norman were the perfect hosts. She was welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. The full Scottish breakfast was excellent.
We would have preferred an en-suite rather than a separate private bathroom. However, it would be unfair to criticise on this point as we did not read the details thoroughly. Clearly as this is a period property it’s not practical to create en suites. It was disappointing but did not spoil our stay.

Elizabeth Ann was very communcative and available for questions. She had thought of everything. I felt very welcomed and at home straight away.

Beautifully decorated, spotless rooms in a gorgeous rural location. The best breakfast I've had outside my mum's house. A very charming and kind host who pulled out all the stops to make me feel comfortable and at home.
The parking was a little tight. That's all.
