Belmare Hotel

Best of all was the welcome and friendly staff. Smiles all the time. The hotel was well located and close walking to beach and shops. The breakfast was the most varied and plentiful we have ever had. No faults at all. We will return when possible. 10 out of 10.

Didn't like leaving. We wanted to stay longer. We will return.

AC didn’t work

The hotel is located right by the bus stop and just a short walk from the beach. The beach is pebbly, but the water was very nice and easy to get into. There are several restaurants nearby, as well as supermarkets, so the location was really convenient. We had our own private pool, separated from the other apartments by a fence, which was a nice bonus. The pool itself has definitely seen better days and could use some maintenance, but overall it was still enjoyable to have. The staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly, kind, and always happy to help!

Overall, we found the pictures to be somewhat misleading, as the hotel is quite different from what they suggest. The property is in need of renovation and some basic maintenance. The bathroom door was so rusty that it was difficult to open, and the toilet seat had been repaired with tape. The toilet was leaking constantly, and the bed sheets were stained.

First of all, the poolbar drinks from Jerry were the best, especially the frappe!!! The staff super nice, super helpful, nothing to say against that. Breakfast was very delicious and enough variety , except for the drinks, I'll come back to that later. Location itself very good, supermarkets are next to the hotel as well as Restaurants and 5 min walk to beach. You can rent a car directly at the reception. And we got cleaning every day. We had the room with private whirlpool.

The hotel itself wasn't properly maintained for a while I would say. The plaster on the walls was literally breaking down. Not only that; we were able to see mold behind the plaster that fall down. Next, we took extra the room with whirlpool. Whirlpool broke down for 2 nights and it wasn't repaired til we left. We were offered no recompense or change of rooms!! Basically paid more and got a normal room for 2 nights. Water and drinks in general ( including coffew) at the breakfast are not drinkable. They test like a lot of salt in it. Dreadful. And the water sometimes stops pouring... and yes, that means also mot being able to flush. I would not recommend this property. I'm sorry for the staff working there, they deserve better.
