This hotel has a faded charm about it. That said the overall experience was superb. The staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful. The food was incredible and this was a very nice surprise!
It’s a large house so the bedroom was a little shabby chic! But really clean and comfortable. Amazing bath and very hot plentiful water!

The bathroom was outstanding but attention to detail when cleaning is required, under toilet rim not clean and grout at bottom of shower required a proper scrub

Beautiful old manor house with cottages (which we stayed in) and mill, as picturesque as things can be. Situated on the NC500 so no need to deviate from the route. Excellent food and friendly staff. Decorated beautifully in the style of the period that the house was built, just amazing.
There aren't any negatives with this hotel.

Dinner excellent. Breakfast very good. Bed very comfortable. Welcome on arrival was good, and service throughout was friendly.
Conservatory was rather cold for dinner unless you were beside a radiator. Bedroom and en-suite needed redecorating. Tap in basin dripped. Towel rail did not heat up. No extractor fan in bathroom. Only one comfy chair in bedroom which was extremely low. No hairdryer.
