Art Hotel Kristal

My second visit and Im sure it won't be my last. The hotel has some nice arty quirks to give it a special atmosphere. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the staff are super friendly and helpful, I opted for half board which offers a short menu bit the food was high quality and good value. They even have proper whisky glasses!! Just a few steps from a bus stop with services all the way to/from Ljubljana if you need it

Very attractive, beautiful furniture, great balcony.

Couldn’t work out how to turn on the TV, tea and coffee making facilities in the room were missing. Bedding was a bit average.

The staff was nice and welcoming, and our room was big and had a nice balcony. The lobby and the restaurant are beautiful.

The hotel is a bit outdated, and so are the rooms. The furniture feels a bit cheap.

Good location.

Out of the 8 hotels we stayed in during our trip this was the most expensive and disappointing. I appreciate it is an alpine style hotel but not all are like this in Slovenia and it felt more like a college dorm or army barracks. Our room was cluttered with bulky furniture and things felt old and tired. Things like the shower holder and balcony door were broken. Breakfast wasn’t the best either, it felt cheap and cramped with dirty plates left of empty tables.
