Dimora Talenti

The main strengths of Dimora Talenti are definitely its location and the views. It is very centrally located in Polignano a Mare and right by the sea. We stayed in a sea-view room, and the view from the room was absolutely beautiful. The rooftop terrace, where breakfast is served, is also one of the highlights of the property. It is a lovely space with a truly breathtaking view over the sea.

I think expectations need to be managed, especially considering the price. Don’t expect a hotel because it’s not. It is essentially a building with guest rooms and a rooftop where breakfast is served. There are no facilities or services beyond that. The room itself was fine, but nothing particularly exceptional. We paid around €1,100 for two nights, and at that price point it is honestly difficult to understand what justifies the cost. You are essentially paying a significant premium for the location…sea view? Overall, but in my opinion the price is extremely inflated for what is actually offered, and I would not consider it good value for money.

The location is superb! The rooms are beautiful-get the ones with a sea view.

Plenty of stairs but that’s part of the charm.

Good position right in the middle of the old town. Great sea view from the communal terrace. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine, but nothing special.

The description of the rooms is misleading. Our “superior” room was in fact a standard up a short but steep and uneven external flight of stone steps. No window apart from the one in the entrance door. Without a breakfast room we had to eat sitting on our bed when it rained on the first morning. The bathroom was entered via a large completely clear glass sliding door which was difficult to see in the dim light. My wife collided with it twice and I did so quite painfully once. We then asked for post-it notes to stick on it for visibility. Very unsafe. The sower was cool on the first day but improved markedly after we mentioned it. To access the terrace for breakfast and the sea view you have to climb more very steep stone steps. The advertised terrace bar was not functioning. Parking @€20 per night is quite a trek away and you cannot get close to the property by car.
