Charitha Rest

Amazing view from the room I looked forward every morning. Room was fine, with terrace for having breakfest and chairs for chilling. Very quiet place out of the Ella's rush. Family of the owner was very kind and helpful. What was absolutely exceptional was the paratha (bread) done by mrs landlady for breakfast. I've never eaten so great paratha :) I can only recommend to book it and stay there for exploring Ella and surroundings.

It is a beautiful property with well built building. Our room was large and very comfortable.

I stayed at Charist Rest with my son while exploring Gal Oya, and we had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, being close to Gal Oya National Park and the lake. Charith was very helpful and kindly arranged the boat ride for us, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The property is family-run, and we really enjoyed the delicious home-cooked meals. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and the stay offered excellent value for money. There are not many hotels or restaurants in the area, so Charist Rest is an ideal place to stay when exploring Gal Oya and its surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again.

Staff were lovely, sadly they had only booked 1 room for our group and were not able to accommodate us. They did not advise us before we arrived. They were helpful in finding alternative accommodation. We returned and had dinner at their premises,

Accomodation although confirmed was not available. Other guests were advised there was No hot water available.
