The scenery was beautiful and I really enjoyed the canoeing and the cycling activity on the second day. The guide was kind, polite and always willing to help.

There were only seven guests on the cruise. The food was the weakest point for me. Although meals were served as shared dishes, the quantities seemed to be pre-portioned per person, so there wasn’t really much choice. The focus was on fish, no alternatives . At mealtimes, instead of arranging the tables so that the seven of us could sit together, we remained separated into small groups. Four French guests sat together and naturally spoke French, while I shared a table with a Spanish couple. As a solo traveller, this made the experience feel more isolating than intimate. I also disliked the additional percentage charged for paying by card. Overall, some aspects of the service didn’t quite feel at the level I expected from a 4-star cruise.

The food on board was very good, and I especially appreciated how well they accommodated vegan dietary requests. Kayaking was a lot of fun, and the staff on board were friendly, attentive and clearly made an effort to provide good service.

Unfortunately, the boat itself does not meet what I would consider a 4-star standard. The rooms, and especially the bathrooms, feel quite dated and would benefit from renovation. The overall itinerary also did not feel particularly well thought out or well coordinated. What bothered me most was being asked to leave a 10/10 review in exchange for a free drink. I strongly dislike this practice, as it may help explain the unusually high number of extremely positive reviews and, in my opinion, gives future guests a misleading impression of the actual experience. While there were definitely positive aspects, particularly the food and the staff, overall I would not book this cruise again.
