The historical tour run by Vickie was fabulous and I would highly recommend it.
All the extra charges. This is a cashless property, then they charge additional 1.8% for using a credit card. Prices in the bar and restaurant were very expensive and the food was average to poor and then they add 10% GST and then credit card or debit card charges!

Location and history. Comfortable room upgrade. Excellent access to city entertainment venues.
Would have appreciated a sofa in our room rather than the desk. The portable speaker wasn’t working, but issue was resolved promptly.

Beautiful large federation style hotel and great central location. I had a large room/living area with a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. I found the small walk in style wardrobe and storage area excellent.
The buffet breakfast and seating area is very pleasant.
The restaurant was not open during the three evenings I was there though one could buy food and drinks in the lobby bar. The food on offer here was just okay and expensive. No pool or spa facilities though there is a gym.

I chose the Property because of the photos and choosing at the higher end of the scale I thought I would have a nicer room the room was okay but nothing very fancy like the photos the bathroom the cold water tap kept falling off. I stayed in room 1906. The vanity sink would not drain I had to jam the soap dish under there to hold the plug waist up.
After a freezing evening out for vivid I was considering having a hot bath but the bath looked yellow and stained so I didn’t want to get in it
