Great view, spacious room, four comfortable beds, so everyone in my family had their own bed. The bedding was very comfortable.

Although we were assigned a corner suite, we didn’t have much privacy. Other guests could come right to the corner deck to see the seagulls, which was directly in front of our dining and living room. It felt like people were constantly passing by and looking into our space.

The location is stunning, although you don’t have to stay there to enjoy this.

I fundamentally object to paying luxury prices (£350/400€ per night out of peak season) for accommodation that is anything but. This one-bedroom waterfront cottage was little more than a poorly furnished box. Most furnishings and fittings were from IKEA. The bedroom was tiny (no room for a bedside table or light). The cabin was on the waterfront, but it was impossible to access the outside without leaving the cabin and walking round. No private balcony or seating outside, and indeed people would often walk past while I was sitting in the lounge area. What would have been an unparalleled view of the fjord was ruined by a window crossbar at eye height. Breakfast was offered (at a price) and was pretty average, coffee and tea water were not hot enough and there was a limited choice of hot food. There is a supermarket 3km away - I should have taken that option. There is a (payable) washing machine and dryer on site, as well as a restaurant with a limited and unimpressive menu. In retrospect I wish I had taken photos of the place but stayed elsewhere, somewhere with a bit more authenticity and at a more reasonable price.
