Some of the staff - the barmen and reception staff were lovely - in particular, a young Dutch gent at reception was very helpful. The place is nicely located and the town around it is immaculate and beautiful. Although limited in terms of open hours, we also enjoyed the outdoor lounge bar - music and service there was great, along with the heaters. Gowns for the spa were generously fluffy and larger than the usual petite small size offered at some resorts. Also loved that even on crutches, it was within walking distance to the cable cars.

Overall, the hotel is a little hit or miss. Our room was pretty and spacious, although the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and a rather wicked skew step caused me some painful damage at night when I forgot about it. Patio and umbrella could use a refresh and repaint. The outdoor pond is just ... well, a little pointless and looks better online than in reality. Spa area is nice in the nude area, but too crowded in the indoor pool area even if there are only a few humans in it so lingering is probably not recommended. Then there are the noises ... crazy churchbell sequence going off every hour for 5 minutes at a time can't really be helped by the hotel, but listening to vacuum cleaning going on at 10pm isn't ideal. Sure it's difficult to soundproof older buildings but between the uncomfortable bed, the churchbells and vacuum cleaning, and the loudly-fighting neighbours in the room next to us, I can't say I feel relaxed at all, and am looking forward to a quiet night at home. I was perhaps just grumpy because there is no filter coffee at all to be found in the hotel. There is one of those fancy coffee-adjacent machines that is keen to make you frothy cappuccinos and espressos, but forget about a normal cup of coffee (desperation made me opt for double shots of espresso, top that up with hot water they offer for tea, and then add a dash of milk, all from different parts of the breakfast buffet. Too hard for such a simple task). I asked the staff - one was sweet but had no clue what filter coffee was, the other barked about using what was offered. Breakfast buffet seating is also less than ideal given there is no hot meal-ordering and it is all buffet. You're apparently obliged to sit in your designated table (day 1 we were placed in a bleak dark room, and we asked for a 'favour' to sit in the nicer, brighter front room the next day, which was happily accommodated by a friendly staffmember). Breakfast was okay.

We stayed as a big family with kids in 2 different rooms. Our stay I can describe as one of the best trips ever. The Hotel was immaculate, staff was super friendly, everything was clean and nice. Hotel was a lovely outdoor pool, saunas, which we used daily after skiing. Our room was very spacious and beds were comfortable. 2 tv’s, fridge. Location was superb, ski lifts (3) all few meters away, supermarket just outside the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.

excellent location, great food, very comfortable

the inflexibility - lunch only served at 3pm no coffees even and you can't eat a roll in the lounge . This was difficult for my husband who broke his ankle and couldn't leave the hotel and therefore was room bound. Very limiting.

The breakfast was somewhat limited in choice.

No dedicated menu options. This should be on offer for the price & claimed hotel status.
