Such a wonderful place! So much better than we expected! The staff was extremely courteous and inviting! The grounds are beautiful. The restaurant served amazing food. The wine was absolutely “perfeito!” The quintessential Tuscany experience!

We stayed in Castillo for 5 days and we like it a lot. There was a good combination of medieval castle vibe and modern comfort. Although we’re mostly driving around exploring vineyards and small towns, we enjoyed the Castillo property, swimming pool and beautiful nature.

Beautiful location

This was a magical place!!! Has a working farm mentality but all the nice touches of an upscale place. Modern bathrooms, updated AC, a pool that was wonderful to relax in after touring some local wineries. Gorgeous terrace area, a bar and some wonderful wines, delicious buffet breakfast, and superb restaurant for dinner!!! Staff also very helpful. Roads are narrow so be cautious in planning your day trips and the dirt road to the castle will leave your car quite dusty! Still- the views were breathtaking and we wished we could stay longer!
