Villatel Resort Orlando, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy

Very clean

This hotel was open less than a year ago therefore the condition of the common areas as well as the room were very clean. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and it's huge, although there's a lot of wasted space that could have been optimized with the different layout. The hotel appeared to be at minimum capacity when we were there, yet they were unable to accomodate a late checkout on a Sunday, although we had booked one of their poolside cabanas for that day, which are not cheap. I get it, if they have someone else coming in on the same day they need to be able to clean the room, but occupancy was probably under 20% of capacity, as parking lot and pool areas were empty most of the time. Only one bar for the entire hotel, and they use a self serve system so if you order food they give it you in a togo packaging... The pool and slides are nice and fun for the kids.

We had a fantastic stay at Villatel Orlando and would happily come back. The location is excellent, and one of the things we appreciated most was how easy it was to get in and out by car. After intense Orlando days filled with theme parks and activities, the convenience of arriving home, parking, and settling in quickly made a huge difference for our family. The apartment itself was fantastic — big, spacious, extremely well designed, and incredibly comfortable. It had the feeling of upscale living while still being practical and efficient for a family vacation. The themed room was a huge hit with our girls, and it quickly became the arena for fierce battles in numerous old-school video games. No prisoners were taken — but after many epic matches, dad remained the undefeated champion! Unfortunately, our schedule was so packed that we only had time to use the pool area on the morning of our departure. That said, it truly looked the part and was exactly the kind of place where you could easily spend a relaxing day if you have more time. Villatel is a great combination of comfort, quality, and efficiency for a family vacation in Orlando. It gives you the space and amenities of a high-end home while making the logistics of an Orlando trip much easier. The only potential downside is that parking is expensive. However, the system worked flawlessly, and the convenience was worth a lot after long days out exploring. If we come back to Orlando, we already know where we will stay!
