Valluga Hotel

We loved the big comfy room and access to town, the wellness facilities and pool, the breakfast and the friendly helpful staff. Special mention to Natalie and Annabelle.

It was all great!

I liked the room we were given on the second day, especially after the unpleasant experience during the first night. I enjoyed the restaurant, the friendly and communicative restaurant manager, and the food and drinks. Breakfast was rich, and the service was polite. I also liked the pool, spa area, and sauna. The place provides towels, is clean, and the water is very pleasant. The depth of the pool is ideal for people of short or moderate height.

I appreciate that it was a busy period, and we had booked a two‑night stay over the weekend. However, we were given a ground‑floor room (number 40 or so) facing the restaurant bins, the backyard parking area, and the green hills. Privacy was limited with the curtains open. The air in the room felt stuffy and heavy. During the first night, the lights went out after we used the kettle. Reception did not respond to multiple calls to the “emergency numbers” displayed at the reception counter. We didn't have electricity in the room, except the light in toilet. The next day, we had to report the issue in person, and after about half an hour the receptionist informed us that we would be moved to another room. I appreciate that we were relocated to a room facing the hotel’s main park, with a balcony, a pleasant smell, good ventilation, and fully functioning facilities.

Great breakfast, amazing Spa. Lots of attention to detail and great perks like free mini bar. Restaurant team are fantastic.

Lack of management at property, we lost a nights sleep because of a party in room above us and the management were neither contactable at the time, have not replied to two emails complaining and did not bother to apologise or ask us how our final night went. The rooms have no climate control, they are roasting hot and we had to waste a load of energy with open windows.
