This property is so awesome.. We were in town from Nebraska for our oldest sons wedding…. We had the house part for ourselves and got this sweet little loft for our other adult son and his girlfriend.. The location is wonderful and peaceful.. We were to busy to get to enjoy the beautiful walking path that we could see..

This was our 2nd time here and definitely won't be our last. The apartment was super clean, comfy and very cozy, with everything you need. The views are amazing and it's so close to the beautiful Loess Hills. The hosts are really friendly. Highly recommend!!

Cozy spot for a few folks.

Entire group enjoyed location and amenities provided. The upper and lower deck/patio provided plenty of space for our large family gathering. Kids enjoyed taking the trail down to the small park near the dam. Overall outstanding accommodations!

What a great place to stay. The view is amazing! We enjoyed every moment. The place is stocked with everything you need and is very clean. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it!

My four-night stay here was perfect. The property was gorgeous, especially the deck and the views. There was even a trail going down to the lake! I felt right at home inside the apartment. I could have comfortably stayed there for four months without any hesitation. Julie and her family were great to rent from. They are truly doing an amazing job with this property!

Travelling around Iowa, the Loess Hills area holds a diamond in the rough, located in Dunlap. Julie and Lee Kaufmann were very gracious hosts and provided hospitality that only Iowans possess. Enjoyed their place very much!! Thanks Julie and Lee

A great place to stay when needed for overflow from family get together.

We rented this guest house with the main house for the second time. Everything was great. We had a delay with VRBO’s communication system which posed a bit of a problem when the city repaved the road giving us access to the house and didn’t have a phone number. (Always good to have a number just in case.) Unfortunately a few items were left at the rental and Julie contacted us quickly so we could pick them up.

This was my second multiple-night stay in the Hilltop Studio Apartment. I love this place! It’s within walking distance to anything in town, yet it’s a secluded spot with great views in multiple directions. The bistro table right outside the entry door is a great spot to enjoy a little time at throughout the day. The unit has everything needed for an enjoyable stay. And Julie is a wonderful host!

I was a solo traveler for a 4-night stay. Everything I needed was provided. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner kept the unit cool even in the mid-90 degree Fourth of July heat. I’d stay again—and will soon. Julie is as an accommodating host as you will find.

The apartment was just what we needed for our 5-day stay. The area around it was lovely, with lots of good shade trees and well-kept lawn. Our granddaughter loved catching fireflies. The neighbor's water feature provided a soothing sound backdrop. For those who love trains as I do, the distant sound of the occasional passing freight was a real treat. Cute little town with a decent grocery store and a few restaurants. I will stay again if the occasion arises and I have recommended it to family members. Only caution I have is this is not for anyone who has trouble climbing stairs.

I stayed for an "escape" weekend. As soon as you pull up to the property you know you have arrived at a special place! The studio apartment was so homey and had everything needed for a relaxing get away weekend. I cannot wait to book another escape! Amazing place Julie!!

The studio had everything we needed for a quiet getaway. The apartment was a welcoming and cozy space to unwind in, while having modern amenities needed to enjoy our stay. We will definitely return!
