A cozy, well-kept and up to date cottage just right for a small group of people. We loved the grounds and visits from the deer. On one of the numerous hills of the driftless area, we had a great view of Mineral Point and the surrounding landscape. We enjoyed visiting the town and nearby Dodgeville State Park. We would definately stay here again if in the area.

This house is located in the middle of farmland and wild flower fields. The house is perfect for sitting and reading and the Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The home is comfortable for two couples. Since the drive to the house is private, there is no traffic noise, just cows mooing. We were very happy and comfortable with this house.

I was so happy to have found this place for a visit to Mineral Point with a friend (she is from the area). It was located in the most beautiful spot, clean and perfect for our week-long stay. It had everything we could possibly need. We were in and out everyday, and couldn't wait to get back in the evenings just to hang out! We were able to visit with Joanna and her friend, whom we met at Tony's Tap, when they joined us one evening out on the patio. Joanna even brought us some of her homemade chili....I must admit I ate 2 bowls full! We couldn't have asked for a better time in Wisconsin, and promise to come back in the future. I feel like I have found new friends and they won't be forgotten anytime soon! Thank you, Joanna for making our trip one of the best we have had!

The house itself is lovely -- and very comfortable -- but the joy is the beautiful view in every direction from the large windows in every room. We also enjoyed breakfast on the balcony and time on both patios. It feels remote amongst the trees and wild flowers, but an easy ride or walk into town for a good coffee shop, diner or pub. We look forward to a return trip!

There are so many fabulous touches to this property! From the welcome note with chips and salsa to a very relaxing vibe, we loved it all. It was also private due to a massive tree that sits between the homes. The town is also a gem (arty, brewery, and lots of rich history) right down a local trail.

There aren't enough descriptors to convey how wonderful this cabin (& property) is and how completely delightful Jo & Andy are. The home is inviting and super clean, beautifully decorated, and every little extra touch thought of. They are so helpful, thoughtful and welcoming. Just exactly the perfect place to get away from it all, rest and relax. And plenty of great places to explore in this part of Wisconsin. So awesome in every way!

We were here in June and enjoyed this property and the second time did not disappoint. The house is very warm and welcoming. The place is very clean and the views are great along with the deer and birds in the yard. The kitchen is very well equipped for any of your cooking needs. Very comfortable place to relax and unwind. Also, the property has a trail to explore the fields and the pond. The owners are very respectful of your privacy

We very much enjoyed our brief stay at Jo and Andy's guest house. They were very thoughtful and left us a few small gifts when we checked in, and even dropped off some treats the next day. The home was fully furnished with everything we needed to cook meals, and even had coffee supplied for us. Governor Dodge is a short 20 minutes away for hiking and sightseeing. (Also, make sure you check out Popolo's Pizzaria in Mineral Point, our dinner was delicious.)

This place was perfect! It was immaculate in its cleanliness, and I am a neat freak. The kitchen was efficient with pots, pans, utensils and service ware, without being overused hand-me-downs. The furniture, floors, and linens were impeccable. The place was decorated in country cute, without being cluttered. I wouldn't just stay here, I would live here- that's how comfortable and clean the place is. Joanna was the sweetest host ever, while giving us our space. She would check in with us subtly in helpful ways while not "hovering". She trusted us with her property and was never overbearing. She was just responsive immediately if we had a question. Also, she baked us the yummiest pumpkin bread that I ever had. The location is perfect to enjoy art galleries, shopping, and dining in adorable Mineral Point. You can take a quick 5 minute drive, or you may conveniently walk for about a half hour on the Cheese Country trail (at a super slow pace, enjoying the scenery). We came to the area to kayak the Pecatonica river in a few places, and also the Little Wolf and the Blue. This cabin was a great central location for all that. And in the midst of all this Covid stuff, this was place where we could prepare our own meals and relax, rather than relying on restaurant operating hours. We love Mineral Point. I'm certain that when we come again we will stay at this property, as long as Joanna owns it!

My wife and I were very pleased with this well appointed little house. The weather was dreary but the extremely easy to use fireplace warmed us up for our much needed respite from work.

The owners were fantastic. Property is beautiful country. We had everything we needed. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We plan on staying again! I highly recommend this property.

The property is located in a remote area filled with views of hillsides and wildlife. Across from the long winding driveway is the trailhead for a ATV/UTV, walking trail. Other modes of transportation are also allowed, but we used it for UTV and walking. There are also trails cut through the property by the house. The house is lovely. Quaint, simply, inviting, comfortable. We had a great retreat.

Great property and hosts. Whether you come to relax and get away, or take advantage of the areas outdoor activities, local shops, or day trip to Madison, WI., Dubuque, IA , or Galena, IL. this is a great "base camp." The cottage is enough for 4 adults. The cottage and host house are close, but the hosts respect your privacy. Wildlife is abundant, we were fortunate enough to see a young deer grazing in about 100 feet from the cottage. When the leaves turn colors in fall the views will be spectacular! The daily cost is that of a hotel but the value of is so much more!

We enjoyed the peaceful location--a lovely home surrounded by beautiful oak trees and prairie. Many spots to sit and enjoy the setting. House has everything you would want and is sparkling clean. Location is outside of Mineral Point, but many things were closed or had reduced hours due to the pandemic. We also drove to Gov. Dodge State Park and Taliesin and did a 10 mile canoe trip on the WI river.

My husband and I were very happy to be able to get away at Trail End Cabin. The cabin is set up nicely for two couples traveling together. One queen up with a full bath and another downstairs with a walk out basement. The setting was very serene and relaxing. Had the chance to meet the owner, and she is very friendly and helpful. She was so sweet to surprise my husband for his birthday. She goes out of her way to make you feel special. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and hope to be back again soon The cabin was very clean

If you want peace and quiet, wildflowers and wildlife,This is the place to stay. Nearby restaurants and bars are convenient. Nice local golf courses. Can’t wait to return.

The place is even nicer than the pictures. Was a great place to get away for a few days. While there were only 2 of us, the place is great for 2 couples to enjoy an isolated spot in SW Wisconsin.

This house is located with a great view and plenty of nature around. A great place to watch the world go by. Birds everywhere and you might wake up to a deer on the lawn outside your window. The owners were great and the house had everything we needed for a great stay. Would come back here in heartbeat!

My stay was wonderful. Joanna and Andy are amazing host. They are very caring and kind. The little house is so cozy and feels peaceful. I love being able to set and watch the wildlife play outside. I highly recommend this place. It was a blessing for me.

The property is simply outstanding!! The hosts Joanna and Andy are the best in providing the best in amenities, and assistance if needed. The initial experience of walking through the door is a great scent and then the visual of the decorating, the spectacular scenery through the windows, and then the observance of the personal welcoming note, after all that you open the frig to put away the beverages and the perishables and there's a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, and then to arrive back after our second day of pounding the trails to find hot chicken vegetable soup and monkey bread........ C'est si bon!! Trails End has it all on the property, scenic walking trails, very comfortable bedding, a kitchen stocked with every utensil, baths that have the best body washes. Off property offers more with scenic landscapes, historic Mineral Point with its shops and nice restaurants, and of course the multi-recreational Tri-County Cheese Country Trail. Did I mention that we will back again?
