Locanda Mimmo

Lovely modern room Ideal for a short stay. Breakfast was incredible Staff amazing On the heart of the town but extremely quiet

Nothing everything was great

The staff were exceptional which made the atmosphere fantastic. We were only booked in for one night but took advantage of the restaurant which lived up to expectations, excellent . Without prompting the hotel made us a breakfast to go as we were leaving at 0600 the following morning absolutely top class.

Lots of steps to our room, may not be to everyones liking.

Location and staff

Bathroom a bit small

The welcome that we were given upon arrival. The staff member carried our suitcases upstairs for us, explained the property and provided us with a welcome bottle of sparkling wine. The breakfast was reasonable, with the usual items that you would expect at a continental hotel breakfast. Each morning, a staff member offered to cook scrambled eggs and served us with soft drinks or hot drinks. The room decor is rustic, with a wardrobe, dresser space and three chairs. There is also a smart TV which you can log into streaming services on.

The bathroom stank. There was a smell of rotten drains that permeated the bathroom. We reported this to the staff, who did send someone to address the problem on the same day. Unfortunately, the effect that the remedy had was minimal. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work to any great effect, leaving the bathroom damp and towels wet until the room was cleaned. The bed was too soft, meaning that we awoke with sore backs and shoulders most mornings during our stay. Due to the location of the room (overlooking the street), if we left the window open then it was very noisy until 11pm to 12 midnight. The room shares a common area with two other neighbouring apartments; the walls were thin and the locks for the room were noisy due to being metal locks with metal keys and a heavy metal keyring attached.
