The house was huge, spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The deck was enormous, and the views from almost everywhere were stunning. No neighbors in sight, very private, quiet, and relaxing. The place was even better than expected from the listing!

Husband and I stayed here for our 10 yr anniversary and my birthday and it was fantastic. The views were amazing with wall to wall windows to the ocean. The house was fully stocked with everything you would need for an extended stay along with a large group of people. We did have an issue with the heating that we had to engage the owner with. Owner responded within 5 minutes of my message via the VRBO app and then called to help troubleshoot the heater. Stayed on the phone to ensure we were successful. This was a great place to stay and close to everything we wanted to see and do while being secluded and private. There were so many things to do in the house that we didn't get a chance to use everything!

What an amazing place! We enjoyed sunrises over the ocean and watching the tides roll in and out all the from the warmth and comfort of a beautiful home. Hours in front of floor to ceiling windows. Just perfect.

The property was exactly like the photos show, views of the ocean along the entire back of the house. Owner is updating the home and making some great changes. Very secluded, just you and the ocean.

The carpet that other reviews mention has been replaced by laminate in the main living area. Would recommend and return in the future.

Location of the property is excellent, million dollars view. Property Manager was great and he responded anything and everything less than a few minutes. Bedrooms need a little update but nothing to complain. We enjoyed the deck most of the time. We did not want to involve with crowd due to COVID-19, so we mostly hike and plenty hiking places as well as beaches. We might come back!!!

Stunning view, well appointed and extremely large. Very luxurious, but could be improved with relatively low cost maintenance, in particular badly stained carpets in the kitchen and hall areas, and painting of some doors. Great bathroom upgrade.

Overall I thought this was an excellent option. Like some of the previous reviews have mentioned its certainly part of the way through a reno. The master suite, new windows and doors, and deck and hammock were all amazing. Kitchen was well equipped, much better than your standard rental home. The furniture, some of the kitchen appliances and the other bath rooms all could use some serious updating but honestly it didnt both us. We were traveling with our dogs and though we tried hard to keep their paws wiped off, I'll admit to being a little relieved when we saw there were already plenty of spots on the carpet. Really lovely, peaceful way to spend a week, convenient to Camden, Rockland and Rockport. I would return without hesitation. We didn't reach out to owner much but he was very responsive.

We had a delightful time at this gem overlooking the ocean. Sitting on the deck or inside in the living room, dining room or den we experienced the incredible views. Our criticisms are minor: 1. The drive is unmarked. The instructions should say that it is ADJACENT to the Medical Center. 2. Staining on the carpet is unsightly despite the house being very clean. 3. The ovens didn’t work. This was a problem when we planned to eat in. So baked chicken quickly became fried chicken. That said, amenities were as cited with plenty of spices, toilet paper, laundry supplies. Questions were answered quickly by the property manager. We will return.

The views from the property were spectacular. The location was conveniently close to many sights, restaurants, and shopping. So many options and a great place for our out-of-state family members to experience the Maine coast with all of its unique beauty. The property itself was very clean and fully stocked and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We had a wonderful stay.

This was the perfect home for an extremely difficult week for my fiancé, his sister, and myself. The home is so incredibly peaceful and comfortable it provided us with the perfect respite as we had a relative in hospice who ended up passing away while we were there. The home is only 1 mile from the hospice home and was so comforting to us during this terrible time. We enjoyed the view and sat and stared out the window at the ocean and lighthouses and even saw a lobster boat dropping traps right in front of the home. I feel like we couldn’t have had a better place to be this past week and am incredibly grateful to the owner for renting to us. Our dog has major anxiety when we traveled and she loved this house and was completely relaxed. There’s just something about this house. It’s wonderful and a little quirky with the 70’s decor. We absolutely loved it.

The perch of the house overlooking Penobscot Bay is spectacular. The entire east-facing wall of the house is lined with floor to ceiling window panels--so den (with its wood-burner stove), kitchen, dining area and dining room, living room and master bedroom. The location is private--a roughly 10 acre parcel, wooded, sloping down from the main roadway, with a .4 mi dirt circuitous private pathway off Commercial Ave cut through the timber; the house itself is at the end of the path, built on a ledge, the Bay below, extending in all directions, offering a panorama from every window paneled room. The interior spaces, especially master bedroom, living room and dining room are of a grand scale. There appears to be ongoing a sequential process of interior refurbishment and updating, but none of this was in any way intrusive, and everything is fully operational. We were there over the week of Thanksgiving, and a 5-7" snow fell over the course of a day and evening. But by arrangement with the owner and manager, the plow was there to clear the road later in the afternoon, and then again to re-plow and sand first thing in the morning. The owner and manager were invariably prompt in reply with information that was clear and useful. Camden, Rockport, and Rockland are aligned north to south along Rt 1/Commercial Ave, and are all within a 10-15 minute drive, and even in late November there was no shortage of good restaurants, specialty shops, coffee shops, etc. But it's the house, its location and the views that are most striking.

We really enjoyed our time at Windows on the Ocean. It's such a great jumping off point for exploring the entire mid-coast. It's a short drive from Rte. 1 to the house, but once you are there you are in almost total seclusion with breath-taking views of the open water from most of the living areas and the master bedroom. The house is so spacious, and doesn't lack for any equipment that one might need in the kitchen, baths, etc. The beds are wonderfully comfortable!

If you need to get away from all the hubbub of your hectic life, this is the spot for you. Located at the end of a maintained dirt road with spectacular views of Penobscot Bay, this home has big open spaces with floor to ceiling windows and plenty of sunlight. From the new deck to the heated floor in the master bathroom this house has lots of amenities. The appliances in the kitchen all functioned with the exception of one minor problem that was efficiently handled by the owner. The house is located within a 5-7 minute drive to great restaurants and shops and yet the only sound you hear at the house is the water lapping at the rocks just below the new deck. As my son said, "This is prefect!" I would highly recommend this home for your next tranquil get away.

We always enjoy staying at this place. It is beautiful and relaxing and has all the amenities. It is always clean, and we love the views! We would recommend it to anyone!

A lovely home in a secluded place. Quiet, peaceful and a needed retreat from the difficult time we have just gone through. The home has everything you will need for a wonderful stay. A fully stocked kitchen, laundry materials, nice linens, smart TV's, wifi, comfortable seating for contemplating the magnificent view. The coup de grace for my companions and I was having a garage to pull into as we stayed during a snow storm. Driveway was promptly plowed. Tim picked up his phone right away when we called with a teensy tiny infinitesimal issue. A bald eagle flies by almost daily, deer visit, loons swim by along with other sea birds...and this in February. Rockland and Camden both a short drive, offer galleries, scenic views, shopping and sophisticated dining and food options. Megunticook Market supplied our catering but we popped into the nearby Market Basket and see they also have wonderful offerings. The natural food store 2 minutes from the home has a stash of the super dark maple syrup almost unheard of anymore (ask for it- it's in the refrigerator). Rockland has the Farnsworth Museum for Andrew Wyeth watercolors and the home featured in so many of his painting (think Christina) is a nearby museum open in the summer. If you are an art lover, this museum should not be missed, the curator has done a wonderful job representing many styles. I recommend this home without reservation and will return again.

My husband and I love staying at this property. We come once or twice a year to just relax and unwind. The property is beautiful, the interior is outstanding with soft blue carpeting that blends with the ocean background. The large windows on the east side give full view of the water, and whether it is sunny or rainy, the view is always outstanding! The kitchen is situated so that the cook can take advantage of the view while preparing meals, and waking up in the master bedroom each morning offers sunrises that are beyond belief. Everything inside and outside the house is convenient. And the visitor can choose to either stay home or go to the many outstanding eateries in the area. Shopping is also an option as there is a large variety of shops and products to take advantage of. I can't think of one single down side to staying at this home. we love it!

Incredible location! Right off the coast road but then completely secluded. And no kidding about the windows... the view from the (huge) living room, kitchen and master bedroom are truly fantastic. Would highly recommend this place for group of friends or families with kids. (Minor) suggestion: could add a couple mid-sized cooking pots (most are either too small or extra large for crabs/lobsters), and a few ladles. They may already be there but couldn't find those. Again, minor stuff... this place is highly recommended... we almost didn't leave each morning thanks to the view. Got the Fall colors and even the full 'supermoonrise' from the deck, which was icing!
