The location was fab, in great walking distance of bars/restaurants and beach. Pool was great. Wonderful amount of space, garden is lovely.

500 euro deposit should be via Booking.com or a credit card. Unesseccary step as we paid it when keys were handed over but the details we were given either weren't correct or didn't work, so had to do it again the following day. Option of Revolut didn't work, so had to set-up PayPal. PayPal is a painful service. Essentials like bin bags there was only one and no washing up liquid etc is just a bit of a shame.

The location fantastic, right in the town very quiet considering. Great sized back yard with fully opening double doors. Towel provision sufficient with good quality bed linens. Garden maintenance high standard and pool cleaned weekly. Barbecue absolutely fantastic and used on a couple of occasions. Great idea to have bikes and these were used by the kids and myself. Off street parking essential for me with less risk of damage to the car and the electric gates added additional security. Didn’t mind the noise from the adjoining school. This is an urban area and you can’t expect silence all the time, but at night you cannot hear a thing and that’s most important. Overall however place a little tired & needs some money spent on it. The rooms overall in great condition, walls well maintained & plenty of kitchen utensils and equipment.

We stay mostly in villas and got a great price just before the season kicked in & considered it a bargain. But at high season the villa gets quite expensive considering small bits let it down like : a) the mosaic swimming pool has at least 300 tiles missing and looks shabby. b) the patio parasol needs a good clean or replaced as seen better days. c) small things like pegs not supplied for hanging towels on the sun terrace. Maybe there is, but we couldn’t find. d) the gas lighter didn’t work for the candles and the candles seen better days too. e) whilst in the premier suite bath, noticed from that vantage point under the rim of the toilet not clean at at all & very off putting. Again overall cleanliness good but not complete. f) bicycles great idea & kids used them, but one of the three had a flat tyre, not maintained and no bicycle pump on the property. These should be on a check list and maintained if to be provided. Otherwise just adds to the place seeing better days. g) the vendor only supplied one bin bag, it’s in the interest of the management company in my opinion to provide more. h) this place doesn’t have a key lock & the company rep met us. Originally told its €30 if no arrived after 8pm. But every villa ever used has a secure key safe. Bizarre to even think of charging a guest more before starting their vacation. But this fee was voided thankfully. I) you have to handover €500 deposit via revolut or PayPal, why not put a €500 hold on a credit card without drawing the charge. Really off putting. However to be as fair as possible would certainly use again if these small details were paid attention to. 90% of it great but 10% detail lets it down. Back in Portugal again in October so might check the reviews again then.

Villa was fab, Ana was a lovely host. Perfect location to all facilities. Will definitely book again 👍

-creaky master bed with painfully hard mattress - poor quality pillows and pillowcases, one per person and had to request more - it would be nice to have toiletries, shower gel/ shampoo - would be nice to have towels available for the pool/beach
