We stayed at Pete’s place for a week in the middle of March. Overall great location, nice apartment and a great time. Very close to a grocery store and amazing fish market. Couple of cons- bathroom is outdated, could use some update. There are no beach towels, only two bathroom towels and small face towels. Also, you’d need to buy your own toilet paper, there was only one roll.

My husband and I stayed at Welches for 28 days from middle of January to middle of February approximately. Pete (Owner) is very friendly and responsive. We rented the 3 bedroom and were able to have our daughters down for a week while we stayed. The property is located about a 5-10 min walk to the beach and 15 minute walk to Ostin's. The property itself and our unit is a little tired but I believe Pete is trying to rectify this. Some things are hard to get on the island so bringing them in takes time and money. The cleanliness of the property could use some work and we did do some cleaning ourselves when we first got to our place. You should also be aware that there is no weekly or bi-weekly cleaning service so if you're staying longer it's wise to purchase some cleaning products. This is something we should have asked about before we rented but just assumed it was a moot point, but that's our fault for assuming. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Welches and we'd definitely go back again. Thanks Pete for a great stay!! We'll have to drink some wine again next time we're down to Barbados.

Pete & Julie we had an amazing 32 nights at your beautiful apartments once again where we consider it our 2nd home - Thank you and to your lovely neighbours Charles & Cheryl - everyone very helpful and welcoming. Apartments are situated in a quiet residential area but only 2 streets back from the beautiful beaches, 10 minute stroll takes you to Oistins and a 10 minute stroll takes you into St Lawrence Gap. Bus stops are situated on the main road again a 5 minute stroll where they will take you anywhere on the island for $2. We have been visiting Barbados for 15 years and stayed all over the Island but finally we have found our 'home' at Fairholme and returning again at end of the year for a 5 week stay. Would highly recommend anyone travelling to Barbados to try Pete & Julie's apartments. Susan & Jimmy Edinburgh

Blaire was our first point of contact for any queries and we found Blaire most helpful in dealing with any queries. There are bus stops on both sides of the road - again a 5-10 walk which will take you anywhere on the Island for only $2pp. We are hoping to return again and we hope Pete is not fully booked as we really felt at home in such lovely accommodation.
