Fantastic location with the bonus of allocated parking. Quirky fisherman's cottage which has been lovingly kept with original features. Ideal base for exploring the south west coastal path and Torbay area.

there are a lot of steps up to the property, so don’t carry lots of heavy bags from the harbour parking as they get heavier the further round you get! stairs are a little tricky so check the photos as they wind round. having said that we liked it, but might be a problem for some in the future if not aware.

The cottage was exquisite and the hosts were delightful. The cottage is charmingly decorated and furnished and fabulously close to the rockfish restaurant and the harbour. Beautiful views from the windows by night

The location was perfect. I went with my 3 teenage children and it was perfect to be so close to everything. Everything I needed was provided in the house. Annie was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions before the holiday. The views were amazing. Really handy to have parking too.

Seagulls and noise from fishing boats early in the morning but I got used to it.

Very steep stairs - manageable but a bit tricky taking food etc up to dining room from kitchen.

Location, location … wonderful to be able to look out at the harbour from bed. Ambiance of the cottage was charming. Very comfy sofas and bed. Good that there were bits like washing up liquid, salt and pepper, soap and shampoo, etc. Loved the sparkly lights in the lounge window. Great to have a parking space not far away. Thick old walls so no noise from neighbours …. Except the seagull of course 🤣🤣🤣

The steps and stairs! I appreciate that this will not be a problem for many people bit I am old, overweight and very arthritic so the 34 steps up from the harbour to the front door were a bit of a challenge. Then the two very small tight staircases to the bedroom and bathroom on the second floor were a continual problem. And getting the suitcases upstairs even challenged my somewhat fitter husband. But again I must confirm that is just a negative for me and flagging it for anyone else in my old boat 🤣 The outside are was a bit shabby, rusty chairs, etc and could do with a freshen up. And if like me you are a smoker you can’t smoke out there, but cannot tell you the number of lovely people I met whilst leaning on the wall outside, having a puff and watching the boats, not least our elderly neighbour who has lived there for 52 years!!!!!
