Witherslack Hall Farmhouse

Lovely farmhouse. Nice clean comfortable room. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.

No tv or tea/coffee in the room. However both in the lounge

Breakfast was great, proper Cumberland sausage and butchers bacon. The bed was excellent, so comfortable and large. I slept like a baby. The farmhouse is situated in a beautiful picturesque valley. It wouldn't look out of place in a Constable painting. Being there felt like stepping back in time, in a good way.

There wasn't any

The farm was off the beaten path and away from the peak season crowds. It was peaceful and the staff was friendly.

It is a little misleading to say it is a farm. The equestrian “center” was closed which we didn’t find out until after I booked. The rooms were pretty dirty (cobwebs everywhere). Breakfast was extremely basic and the quality was not consistent. Dirty dishes were left in the dining area all day long more than once. The bathrooms didn’t have shelves or vanity space and there was no soap in the shower. All of the doors were self closing and were constantly being slammed unless you stood at the door to wait for it to reach the door frame to prevent the final slam. I looked through the pictures again before this review and never saw most of the photos on this booking profile.
