Castle At Edgehill

What a beautiful place to stay.

Could do with some led bulbs in the lights.

Continental breakfast only.

Some rooms would be very difficult for guest with large luggage, and /or not good on steep stairs.

The food as well as the accommodation was excellent

As we were in the lower part of the turret it was very noisy directly above our heads. Just the guests above walking around but you could hear every step.

From the moment we arrived at The Castle at Edgehill, we knew we had found somewhere incredibly special. Katie, the manager, welcomed us with such genuine warmth that we immediately felt at home. In fact, that warmth continued throughout our entire stay. Every member of staff we met was courteous, kind, attentive and helpful, and there was such a wonderfully relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and rather than simply feeling like hotel guests, we genuinely felt as though we were old friends who had come to stay. Our room was simply incredible. Staying somewhere with so much history and character was magical in itself, but then there were those breathtaking views. Waking up and looking out across the countryside from such a beautiful historic setting is something we will remember for a very long time. And then there was the food! Absolutely delectable. Everything we ate was beautifully prepared and delicious, and our seafood linguine was particularly memorable. I also have to give a very special mention to the cinnamon Negroni — quite possibly one of the most heavenly cocktails I have ever had and one I will definitely be dreaming about! What really sets The Castle at Edgehill apart, though, is its people. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful food can make a stay memorable, but it is the way people make you feel that makes somewhere truly special. Katie and her team made us feel so welcome, so comfortable and so genuinely looked after. We came away for a special weekend together and left feeling completely recharged, with full hearts and some beautiful memories. We were genuinely sad to leave — and I think that says everything. Thank you, Katie and the whole team, for making our stay so wonderful. We arrived as guests but were made to feel like old friends. We will absolutely be back. ❤️
