Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful.
Lovely pool. Amazing restaurants and cafes.
Great facilities.
Overall a real wonderful place to spend time.
Almost nothing I didn’t like, but if I had to list anything, I would say behind the bed was a little dusty and the shower pressure was quite weak. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

Our experience at InterContinental Dhaka was largely positive. The reception staff was exceptionally helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was well-equipped with all necessary amenities.
While we didn't have the opportunity to use the swimming pool, we found the ambience to be tranquil and the AquaDeck offered a secluded spot for dining and enjoying drinks. We look forward to taking advantage of these facilities during our next visit.
The dining options at "Elements" were impressive, catering to both in-house guests and walk-in diners. We particularly enjoyed the variety offered during the buffet lunch and breakfast.
One minor issue we encountered was during the live barbeque service, where certain items, like the lamb chop, were not replenished after 8:45 pm, indicating they had run out. Despite this, the overall quality of the items served was excellent.
Overall, our stay at InterContinental Dhaka was enjoyable, and we look forward to returning in the future.
The cocktails and mocktails served at the "Amber Room" were disappointing. We ordered a Long Island Ice Tea and a Virgin Mojito for in-room delivery. However, upon arrival, it was evident that the beverages lacked proper preparation. The Long Island Ice Tea contained only cold drinks with a minimal amount of vodka, without any mixing or ice. Similarly, the Virgin Mojito was subpar, with sliced lemon and mint leaves simply added to Sprite, lacking the expected blend and attention to detail.
It's possible that the discrepancy in quality could be attributed to the in-room service compared to dining directly in the Amber Room.
Having experienced superior cocktail and mocktail offerings at other hotels and resorts, the offerings at InterContinental Dhaka fell short of expectations. I strongly recommend that the management investigate and address this issue promptly to maintain the reputation and standards of the establishment.

The staff was very helpful, courteous, and professional. The location was very central to most government offices. The downside of the location means it is always busy with massive traffic jams - the noise and honking start early!
As it was Ramadan, there was very limited food choices. The price of the food at Cafe Social is astronomical - burger and spaghetti bolognese cost more than the most restaurants in London and New York!!!

Very clean rooms and excellent service.

This was an overall excellent experience. From staff, to set-up to room to food - all very well!
The only point of enhancement would be to insert better noise cancelling windows in the rooms facing the street, as the street noise is rather dominant.

The food prices are very high, even more than London. Not great for kids options

The hotel was a 5* with all the amenities. Can't fault the staff. However, the cleanliness of the room was slightly disappointing. All around the edges, the room was severely dirty. Under the bed, another story.
The breakfast buffet with endless items is amazing. Families with babies be aware that the price of milk by the glass is extortionate. All in all, it's not bad.

not a lot
The AC units were awful - had it set to max fan speed and 16C but it wouldn’t drop below about 22C because the units just weren’t good enough. same problem in both rooms. we were feeling uncomfortably hot.
secondly, the price when I booked was £260 but I got charged £270 when I checked my statement.
thirdly, the hotel stay includes complementary water. I had the breakfast and dinner package. at dinner, we were given water but to our surprise we were charged at the end for it. charging for water at a dinner buffet without explaining its not included is not right. if I’d been told I would have just brought the water from my hotel room. not cheap either - we got charged 600Tk for water which is absurd. water is included in the breakfast buffet. it’s all quite silly.
Additionally, we asked for tea bags at one point but nobody came so we were left waiting, hoping to have a final cup of tea before checking out. we didn't get the chance to do that in the end and had to buy a tea instead after leaving.
The hairdryer also didn't work. the furniture was chipped and old. one of the rooms only had one window and was dark during the day. the bathtubs in both rooms were filthy when we arrived and they weren't cleaned the next day either. it was disgusting. The lights in both rooms were flickering too and we had to leave them off.
This hotel is not worth the price. It's overpriced and I wouldn't even refer to it as a 5 star hotel - it's 4 stars at best. there are much better 5 star hotels around Dhaka for a lot cheaper.
Huge waste of money and disappointment.
