Très bel accueil! Nous faisons notre déjeuner nous même. Il y a des fruits, des oeufs, du pain, des confitures et du café à notre disposition.

Endroit un peu difficile à trouver.

L’accueil. Les lits confortables (nous avions la chambre avec les deux lits simples). Très propre. Les parties commune avec la cuisine, possibilité de se préparer un petit déjeuner. Très belle maison. Possibilité de navette de/vers l’aéroport à toutes heures. Merci à Esteban !!

Es un Bed & Breakfast (B&B) cerca del aeropuerto que es útil si llegas en un vuelo por la tarde-noche y quieres hacer parada para descansar y seguir tu viaje al día siguiente. Es una casa con una cocina, jardín y salón compartidos, alrededor de los cuales están las habitaciones. La habitación tiene baño privado y están bastante bien. Repetiría si quiero únicamente pasar la noche para seguir mi viaje.

El desayuno se lo hace cada uno el suyo. Los dueños de la casa dejan zumo de brik, leche, huevos, pan bimbo, mantequilla y mermelada y tú debes hacerte el desayuno. Nada especial, ningún producto típico de Costa Rica y tienes que hacértelo tú y limpiar luego todo.

The place inside is suuuper welcoming! The staff as well, really nice and polite and they think of everything for you. It was also nice to cook for ourselves and have breakfast in the nice garden.

Just the facade, the entrance on the street was not the best, we arrived at night and the shutter were shut and it felt a bit strange, but as soon as you get through the door you feel at home!

I loved that it was a 100 year old family home converted to a guest house. I had a room in the garden. Quite lovely. They provided airport shuttle service for a reasonable price and got me there in plenty of time, even at 4:45am. Family owned.

I liked that it was near the airport, the host came to pick us up from the airport at night for a small fee and the breakfast is included. We only stayed 1 night but it was perfect after a long travel day! Place is clean and quiet.

Room was very clean and the staff was really helpful and kind. Garden is nice to chill in.

It’s nice to have all day breakfast, but the choice and stock were very limited. If would have been nice to have some more variety and enough coffee.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience staying here!! Esteban was a fantastic host! The bed was very comfortable, and the hotel is located near the airport.

We could think of no improvements to suggest from our stay.

Prima locatie om te overnachten na de lange reis. Het is vlakbij het vliegveld en de eigenaar kwam ons ophalen. De eigenaar reageert heel snel via whatsapp, we hebben de communicatie als zeer prettig ervaren. Het ontbijt was goed, er was fruit, toast, eieren etc etc. Bedden lagen fijn en een prima badkamer.

Super nice Patio (inner garden) where you can relax, it's calm without noises from outside. The room was nice and we had everything we need, incl a comfortable bed :) near to the airport and a good stay when your plane arrives late or leaves super early. Alex (host) offers transportation for a good price.

El lugar es muy acogedor, la decoración... La ubicación es excelente para ir al aeropuerto. Es un remanso de paz dentro de la ciudad.

Los ventiladores (en la habitación y el baño) hacen un poco de ruido, rompe la sensación de paz que se respira en todo el alojamiento.

Die gesamte Atmosphäre ist einmalig, man bucht nicht nur ein Zimmer sondern Empfangsraum , Küche , Wohnzimmer , Esszimmer und den Garten mit dazu, und das alles mit einem Costa-ricanischen Flair. Wir waren von Anfang an begeistert. Jeden morgen waren im Kühlschrank Produkte um Frühstück zu zubereiten und frisches Obst. Der Gastgeber sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir wurden um 6.00 zum Flughafen gebracht, einfach toller Service Dieses Hotel hat eine gute Lage für Anreisende und Abreisende man muss nicht unbedingt San José gesehen haben, Hotel ist in Alajuela die Stadt übersichtlich, und bei dem Verkehr ist besser als Abreisende Flughafen nah zu übernachten. Wir wäre da 2 Nächte und haben festgestellt dass, die Preise viel niedriger waren als in San Jose. Als Anreisende soll man gleich ein Auto mit Vierradantrieb buchen, ansonsten kann man leider Costa Rica nicht erkunden. Man muss das Auto da abgeben wo man geliehen hat, also sehr wichtig gleich machen, wir haben es nicht gemacht und am Ende der Reise müssten wieder nach La Fortuna zurück.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer das klein war und noch dunkel gestrichen, wir dachten uns bei der Grösse wäre weiss oder beige viel angenehmer, der Wentylator im Bad war laut und das Zimmer hatte ein Öffnung inFür der eine grosse verglasste Lüftung zu Esszimmer wo die Abreisendenum 5 Uhr morgens gefrühstückt haben, die haben uns ungewollt geweckt. im Badezimmer fehlte uns eine Ablagemöglichkeit.

The room was nice and clean with a good bathroom. The toiletries were very nice! The all day breakfast was a great touch and allowed us to make breakfast when we were ready for it.

There was a bit of a miscommunication about arrival timing so that we couldn’t arrange pick up, but it wasn’t their fault. The options for arrival allowed for picking times in the morning and time was in military time so it led to confusion. Something to be aware of when putting in arrival time.

Genuine Costa Rican neighborhood about ten minutes from airport. There is a well stocked kitchen and a grocery store and ATM two blocks away. Official red taxi from airport should be $8 for a car $12 for a van and some take credit cards. Or call Uber from the departures level (one level higher). Note that you will have to help navigate your driver to the hotel, as there is no sign on the door. It's worth spending some time in Alajuela, as you can Uber to the Starbucks farm or take the bus from Alajuela to Volcano Poas.

Super homely feel and very charming. The all day breakfast was great. My private transfer to the airport was very convenient and great value.

The all day breakfast would be even better with some fresh pastries and/or biscuits.

Staying at Esteban's house was like staying at home is was so comfortable. I stayed in #5 and loved it. He was very responsive and picked me up and dropped me off for my Sansa Flights. There were many birds on the patio and the parrots land in the tree behind it. Having a kitchen to be able to cook or make your own coffee was so wonderful. Esteban had many great stories to tell and after coming to Costa Rica for 23 years, I will stay here from now on.

We flew into San Jose after dark and wanted somewhere to stay before heading down to the coast. The hotel was perfect. We arranged a pick up from the airport for $5 and the journey was around 10 minutes. Quiet road with no real frontage but once through the door we entered a haven of tranquility. Great kitchen and lovely garden and tea/coffee/bread/eggs on the go all day. Room was spacious, beds comfy and shower was hot. Felt really safe, too. Great “back-packing” vibe - loved it and it was a great start to our holiday.

Good location for the airport and easy to organise a transfer to and from the airport. Friendly staff, who gave us recommendations on where to eat in Alajuela. The room was clean, had hot water and air con. Breakfast was good as we could have fruit and/or bread at any point, which was good as we left early both times we stayed.

Great location from airport and friendly host. Get to make your own breakfast at a time that suits you.

Bit noisy with people leaving to get flights in the night but to be expected with an airport hotel

The house is incredible, great garden where we had breakfast this morning. The guy working there is super helpful and gave us great tips on where to dine, info on traffic for returning the car, etc. we also loved the idea of whole day breakfast, because it really helped us adjust to our own trip schedule ☺️

If I had to say something, the room we were (4) gets a lot of light in the morning, which I guess may be bothersome.

Esteban was really friendly. He picked us up from the airport for $5. Our plane was delayed and he was great at communicating, we didn't have to wait long for him to arrive. The sound of the birds in the morning. The room was small, but enough space for us. Nice communal area and lovely fresh pineapple supplied for breakfast.

A large cockroach on the wall in our bedroom. My partner is certain that Esteban noticed this also when he took us to the room, but he didn't say anything. The worst bit - on the drive to our accommodation from the airport I asked Esteban if he could recommend a taxi to get us to Denny's aeropuerto to in the morning to get our shuttle at 8.15 with Interbus (who ask you to arrive 20 mins early). Esteban said he would take us. He asked us what time we would like to leave and I said 7am. Esteban encouraged us to leave later and said we would have time, so we arranged to leave at 7.30am. The next morning we waited...it got to 7.35 and I messaged Esteban but no reply. It got to 7.40 and I tried to phone but no answer. We ordered an uber. At 7.46 Esteban messaged to say he was coming. Luckily our Uber had just arrived. It took us 15 mins with a very nippy Uber driver - there was a lot of traffic on the roads. If we waited for Esteban I think we would have missed our shuttle to La Fortuna.

Our host, Esteban, was very nice and welcoming! The airport transfer is a nice to have! The room was small but cozy and good equipped. All in all, a nice place to be!
