Great dog friendly house

We appreciated all the dog friendly things. The toys, the water, the bowls, the fenced in yard. Wonderful walks nearby. Close to town.
First time to Fredericksburg and we loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay - the property is located in a quiet residential area within walking distance to Main St. and was perfect for two couples on a weekend trip. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be booking this property again.

This property is set up great for someone traveling with pets. We had a small dog, but the house is very well set up for large dogs as well. Two indoor large kennels, one outdoor large kennel, and a big fenced in back yard. The host has thought of everything for your pet including toys, a dog bed, bowls, and bottled water to avoid stomach upset. The house is very clean and very pet-proof with not a lot of places for your curious pet to get in trouble.
It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Main St. We did find ourselves driving at night as the walk isn't extremely well lit and I didn't want my elderly mother to fall in the dark.

We were very comfortable in Pollys pet-friendly house. We enjoyed our stay and the little touches that went above and beyond the standard vacation rental - such as fresh coffee beans, basic pantry items, laundry soap and dryer sheets, plenty of paper products like tissue and TP, plus well placed trash containers and tools for picking up after the pup. The place was very clean and had lots of light. Nice big fenced yard. Convenient car port. Table in the covered porch area was our evening go-to spot. We were happy with the house, and its proximity to Main street, and will be back, for sure, and stay longer. Now to find an available date......

Great house on a quiet street. Shaded backyard was nice in the afternoon and evening. Fully stocked utensils, pots/pans, and anything else you could need for cooking, baking and grilling. All bed and bath linens were good quality too.

When your pets are just as important as their humans, you have found the ultimate place to stay. A text to our host was all that was required to begin the check in process as we were met with a smile and a thank you. After a short tour of the facilities the dogs were led to the back yard to explore. The house is close enough to walk to main street and yet in a very quiet area. We would definitely stay again.

The owner is very nice and responds to questions quickly. It was so nice to have dog bowls and beds already on site. Very nice house for people as well.

Positive:
* Super dog friendly, dog accommodating, especially for large dogs.
* Two bedroom, two bath (showers only).
* Fully stocked kitchen.
* Full size laundry appliances.
* Good water pressure.
* Covered parking.
* Fully fenced, private back yard.
* Fast wifi internet service ... 493Mbps upload, 463Mbps upload at 7am.
* Quiet residential neighborhood.
* Good location, 2 minute drive to Main Street. We chose to drive to town due to summer heat and steep elevation changes along the route. However there is a Pedestrian bridge just North of Frantzen Park which creates a shortcut to Main Street should you choose to walk.
* Very clean.
* Meet the owner at check in with walkthrough of the property.
* Owner very nice and responsive. Combination coffee grinder/maker didn’t work well at all. Had to keep cycling the power on and off before it would finish percolating all the water in the tank. Owner immediately replaced it when notified of the issue.
* $25 gift certificate to Owner's Dogologie store on Main Street.
* Super easy check out by noon ... text, leave the key, leave the home.
Negative:
* Older and rather small home, older appliances. 832 Square Feet single family home
* No view.
* Owner's personal home is next door, with large dogs in the back yard which may bark at you and your pets.
* Main bedroom matress has large bulge in middle

We loved this property. We were greeted by the host and given a tour and info regarding property. The property was very clean and perfect for our weekend stay with our dog. There are many amenities and conveniences for your pet. The neighborhood was quiet and close to all the activities we had planned. We had our morning coffee outside on the patio while watching our dog roam around. It was one of our best stays in Fredericksburg and we have been there many times.

Everything was very clean, too.

The house is well equipped for dogs. We received a $25 coupon for Dogologie, which was nice, but also which expired the day we arrived. The owner was pretty responsive but not very warm. The house itself was fair to middling. The location was very convenient to town. It's clear that it's mostly for dog owners without any frills. It's also clear that the neighbors aren't excited about having a VRBO right across the street which isn't something the owner can control, but isn't welcoming. Overall, if you're looking for a place where your pups are safe and you won't worry about them, this is great. If you're looking for something a little more upscale, with better amenities, like a coffee table or local television channels, you should probably look for another rental. Honestly, with exclusively five star reviews, I thought there would be something that would stand out and make it worth the price.

Very nice, clean, and walking distance to downtown. Pet freindly with fenced in yard. A MUST stay if visiting Fredericksburg or the area. Owner/host was so nice, just a simple walk through upon arrival and "Enjoy your stay".

Polly was a great host! The house is close to Main Street, which is the center of the action in Fredericksburg, where you can find more than 150 shops, boutiques, and art galleries as well as dozens of restaurants, wine-tasting rooms, a brewpub, two museums & more. Our furry kids were secure while walking in the backyard, and they really enjoyed their stay. We will definitely stay again in the Dogologie Haus.

My family and I (4 adults and one small dog) stayed here for two nights for the Christmas holiday and it was perfect. It was only a few blocks from Main St. and everything was very comfortable, especially the beds! We had everything we needed, and if we had any questions Polly was very helpful and responsive. Also, if you have a dog this is the place to stay; everything from indoors to the great space out back was extremely dog friendly. Will definitely be staying here again when in town!

Wonderful in-town home to enjoy a mother-daughter pre-Christmas getaway that included family canine. With girls just back from college for holiday break, we packed up the dog and headed for some hiking, shopping, and enjoying Hill Country holiday lights. This was a cozy retreat each evening, especially after hiking around Enchanted Rock during the arctic blast! Owner was responsive and gracious when original plans needed adjusting.

If you have your fur babies, this is the place. So accommodating! Close to town, quiet, clean, and just perfect. Well fenced backyard so you do not have to worry about escapes!

This was a great place to stay and was very welcoming of our 4 fur babies. It was decorated for Christmas and even had Christmas themed toys for the doggos. They offered so many amenities I have never seen in a rental…robes, shower gels and lotion, coffee add-ons, and more! We all enjoyed our getaway and would definitely return in the future.

This was an awesome place for our Family Christmas weekend! Our two fur babies loved the accommodations and so did we! Master bed could use some improvement, but the house was comfortable and proximity to Main Street is great! Thank you Polly and Curt for sharing your home with us!
