We are a semi retired Canadian couple on a budget with some very specific needs for a vacation home: the need for a dependable internet as one of us needed to be able to work; the desire to experience all of Barbados; a goal to use the time to ‘get into shape’. This apartment/house was all we could have asked for and more. Tucked back in a Bajan neighbourhood on top of the hill above Oistins and the ocean, it is a 10-15 minute walk down to Miami Beach – one of the best beaches on the island. We had the best of two worlds during our 9 week stay: 1. The chance to meet a number of wonderful people who live here year round and quickly acclimatized us to all things Bajan; shopped regularly at the local supermarket just a block away as well as a small vegetable stand close by; watched kids go to and from school every day; and, on Sunday mornings, sat out on the balcony to hear singing from at least 3 churches close by; 2. Down on the beach we met people from all over the world each with their story and a few of whom have become friends; always an active exchange of tips re things to do, good restaurants, etc. Leroy’s place is one side of a duplex with everything you need for a comfortable stay. You feel like you are staying in someone’s home. A well stocked kitchen – important as we cooked most of our meals; Two (!) flat screen TVs with a cable package that included Canadian channels which was so appreciated; a wonderful yard, comfortable beds and air conditioning; Three balconies – one of which was perfect to sit out in the evening with a glass of wine, good friends. We rented a car for two of our 9 weeks – a chance to explore the island. All good! But the best part has really been about the people: Leroy kept in touch - was available, responsive and helpful . He has many good friends on the island: Audrey, who takes care of the house, was also always very responsive and even surprised us by bringing over a Bajan dinner; Rico also lives close by and helped with technical/computer needs (and so much more!) – he has become a good friend; Rowland is a ‘go to’ person picked us up at the airport and made us feel very welcome – always there if we ran into any difficulty. Each of these people were so generous and hospitable and at the same time, very respectful of our privacy and space. We leave with lasting relationships, a deep understanding and appreciation for all of Barbados – island itself and above all, its people.

This was my first time staying at this property, however, I have been to other properties on the island and this by far was the BEST! The property is serene and not in a 'touristy' part of the island. It is mostly populated by locals who are friendly, helpful and excited to meet you. The beach is gorgeous (Miami Beach), which is a short ways from this beautiful place and the atmosphere is like no other. There are no vendors walking the beach so you can focus on your relaxation. There are lots of things to do around the beach and great places to eat, such as grannies (try the pudding and souse) Service is another area of excellence, the owner Mr. Chase along with Rico and Audrey are amazing. Booking was a breeze, Mr. Chase stayed in contact and filled me in on what to expect, local attractions, and his reassurance that everything would be beautiful. Boy, did he deliver! My arrival was effortless and the transition into being an honorary local was great. Rico (the ground keeper) was right on time with set up for internet and television functions and ANYTHING else you will need to know about the property. He is always attentive, and never annoying. In my opinion, he should be your go to guy for everything that pertains to the island, as well as services for the property. All in all I felt as though I was at home in this property. I love this property and will make trips back to the island with Mr. Chase being my first call! I am bringing my children this summer and I am sure they will feel at home in this house, as I did when I was there. This is truly a home away from home because this is an incredible place. The vacation my family and I had during our stay in this lovely home in Oistins, Barbados was possibly the best we have ever experienced! Mr. Chase was efficient and thorough in our booking of his home, and went above and beyond to guarantee our luxury, security and comfort while we stayed in his accomodation. The home was clean, spacious, modern, complete with all amenities and extremely home-like. We were met by a pre-arranged driver who brought us back to our house in paradise for the week. He introduced us to our area and agreed to take us anywhere we needed to go for the rest of the week with little notice. The home was a short, beautiful walk into the heart of town of Oistins and some of the nicest beaches we have enjoyed anywhere! We had an amazing Friday night at the famous Oistins Fish Fry, and also ventured by bus to Bridgetown for a day of shopping and St. Lawrence Gap for a great night of disco fun. Mr. Chase was great at recommending all these attractions and called us during our stay to make sure we were happy and satisfied, which we were, in spades! The only disappointment was saying goodbye to our paradise getaway in Barabados a week later! I would recomend this tropical townhome to anyone, especially families looking for literally, a home away from home and I will be back with my family next year!

From the uncomplicated booking, to the extra care taken by Leroy to make sure we had the best time possible, this was a great experience. My beautiful wife and I felt competely at home in the large comfortable home, with full kitchen, flat screen TV's, BBQ and laundry.My wife particularly loved the view from the terrace walkout balcony off our room. Enjoyed our one evening just lounging in the tropical backyard. Also loved the easy access to beautiful Miami Beach and Oistin's busy town life. The community of Mont Rose, where the house is located, is two minutes walk away from grocery and liquor stores and the friendly local people make you feel like you have lived there all your life. Thanks Leroy, for the great time and for sharing your home with us. We will be back in November and will be bringing some friends who want to see it for themselves!

I had the pleasure of staying at this property on both occasions and I would absolutely recommend this vacation home to anyone who want to feel safe, comfortable, have a good time . It feels like a home away from home because all the ammenities are there for your conveinence. You are welcome to cook your own meals or do cary out, or even barbecue. The supermarket, beach and most of all transportation is readily available. If you don't have a rental car, no problem because you can step out the gate and the buses, cars whatever is your choice is available. The Owner is very kind and sweet and not forgetting his house keeper, Audrey, she is such a wonderful person and her warmth ,laughter and smile says 'welcome'.I had a wonderful experience at the 'Fish Fry' on Friday night. 'Oh my God,' I hads the best time of my life. The owner was absolutely right when he told me that I have to attend The Friday night event in Oistins. Cold beers, lots of Flying Fish, dancing and singing ,mingling with people from all over the world. This rental home also provide you with a beach view from the Patio , fruits , if available and a beautiful backyard. What a relaxing and enjoyable time I had and will visit again.

I stayed at this fine establishment twice already. It is well stocked, you have every thing from beach equipment to bar b que grill to the kitchen being well equip. The caretaker for the place welcome you like you are family. There is a mini mall were you can buy from groceries to an outfit for the evening, you are 15 mins away from the famous Oistins Fish Fry which is every Friday and Saturday night. I would recommend anyone to stay here the place is clean and have clean linens for your use as well as a washing machine. The people of the island are very welcoming and very helpful, I did not feel like a stranger I would return to this beautiful island again. Overall my stay was fabulous.

Live with the Island Folks and get in on the local action! You can walk to one of the nicest beaches in the world.The walk is down hill and easy but uphill on way back but a great view. Buy fresh fish and go back and BBQ. This is a beautiful home with all the amenities. The neighbours are very friendly and you can either mingle or relax on your own. There is always lots happening and not far from the property, Beach party and dancing almost every Friday and Sat., but can buy some beer a block away and put in the fridge and chill! You really can't beat the price for what you get, most other properties are 2 to 3x the price. The property was clean when arrived and you can arrange for a home cooked island meal if you like or do your own. Cleaning Lady was available if need for emergency and can request change of bedding mid week. This was one of the greatest weeks of my life and do plan on going again..hopefully soon! One really doesn't need a car, but if you prefer to have one talk to the owner. I got an international drivers licence just down the hill from the house and rented a care for 5 days and toured the Island, which is not very big. Visit a local distillery and take a tour..it.s fun. You can also take a tour of one of the Concords. The weather was great, the people were friendly and found this to be one of the best vacations ever!

IT IS WELL EQUIPPED,A SHORT PLEASURABLE WALK DOWN THE HILL TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE BEACHES IN THE WORLD.(MIAMI BEACH ).THE HOME IS HALF A BLOCK AWAY FROM THE GROCERIE STORE, WHERE YOU CAN PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM LIQUOR, TO HARDWARE SUPPLIES,AND ALL THE GROCERIES AND SUPPLIES THAT YOU WILL NEED. THE HOME IS ON THE BUS ROUTE ,TO BRIDGETOWN,A 15-20 MINUTE RIDE,10 MINUTES TO THE ST.LAWRENCE GAP, WHERE YOU WILL EXPERIENCE SOME OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN THE CARIBEAN...BEST OF ALL ,IT IS LOCATED A SHORT 5 MIN WALK TO THE FRIDAY NIGHT FISH FRY IN OISTENS,THE BEST STREET PARTY AND DANCE IN THE WORLD...EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT....THIS PROPERTY IS CLEAN, SAFE,AND A VERY SHORT RIDE FROM THE AIRPORT..I CAN'T WAIT TILL MY NEXT VISIT,EARLY 2011...ENJOY IT,I ALWAYS DO...
