Economy 7 NSH, Strom, Bettwäsche und Handtücher inklusive. Kinderbett. Hochstuhl. DVB-T-TV. DVD. Elektroherd. Oil Rayburn (£ 25 pro Woche von Oktober bis April). Mikrowelle. Waschmaschine. Wäschetrockner. Geschirrspüler. Gefrierschrank. Rasengarten mit Sitzecke und Möbeln. Parkplatz (3 Autos). Rauchen verboten.. Dieses haustierfreundliche Ferienhaus in einer Doppelhaushälfte liegt nur wenige hundert Meter von einem der malerischsten Sandstrände in Cornwall entfernt. Das Anwesen verfügt über große Flexibilität mit 2 Schlafzimmern und einem Badezimmer im Erdgeschoss und 2 Schlafzimmern und einem Badezimmer im ersten Stock. Von der Unterkunft aus haben Sie einen weiten Blick über die Bucht. Nach einem kurzen Spaziergang gelangen Sie in das Herz dieses reizenden kornischen Dorfes mit seinen zahlreichen Geschäften, Bars, Restaurants und Pubs. Polzeath ist bekannt für seinen wunderschönen Surfstrand, der sich ideal für einen Familienurlaub eignet. Genießen Sie in der Nähe den atemberaubenden Südwestküstenweg, von dem aus Sie den atemberaubenden Blick auf den Atlantik genießen und nach Rock mit seinen Stränden und Wassersportmöglichkeiten spazieren können. Nehmen Sie von hier aus eine Fußfähre nach Padstow mit seinem Arbeitshafen und einer Vielzahl von Geschäften, Pubs und Restaurants. Etwas weiter oben an der Küste befindet sich Port Isaac, wo Doc Martin gedreht wird, und weiter oben Tintagel, die mythische Heimat von King Arthur und Boscastle. Polmeor ist ideal gelegen, um die vielen Attraktionen von Cornwall zu besuchen, darunter Bodmin Moor, Newquay mit seinen Surfstränden, der Zoo und das Blue Reef Aquarium sowie das Eden Project. Geschäft, Pub und Restaurant 500 Meter.

We had an excellent couple of days at Polmeor.
We had an excellent couple of days at Polmeor. The cottage might not be modern and plush like some of the new builds nearby but it suited our family perfectly and was extremely clean and comfortable. The Rayburn was lit giving the kitchen/family room a lovely cosy feel. We spent time on both days in the sea which was a 4 minute walk from the cottage and with the 2 bathrooms we were all able to be showered and changed quickly. We would definitely come back to Polmeor if we were heading to north Cornwall again, hopefully for longer. Thank you for a great stay!

Sadly the holiday was affected by building works next door which was very noisy.
Sadly the holiday was affected by building works next door which was very noisy. We were not told about the building works and it did affect our ability to sit and relax in the garden on the very lovely sunny days we had. It’s a shame Theo’s was not mentioned prior to booking as it doesn’t make for a relaxed time when you want to just enjoy the garden and view. Other than that we had a lovely time in a beautiful location. Hosts were also great when we locked ourselves out!

A great cottage, clean, well equipped and felt like home from the second we walked in the door.
A great cottage, clean, well equipped and felt like home from the second we walked in the door. It is sat on the hill amongst newer properties but what it lacks in youth it makes up for in character and charm and has a stunning view. It's less than 5 mins to the well stocked shop and an excellent chip shop. Was perfect for our needs.

Traditional style dorma bungalow.
Traditional style dorma bungalow. Entrance into porch with useful seperate washing machine and tumble dryer. Rustic feel but practical room. Enter into mondernised, well equipped breakfast kitchen which was clean fresh and inviting. Open plan, leading through to kitchen diner with amazing views over Polzeath beach and sea. Dining table caters for 8 sit down. Through hall to cosy lounge, again with fantastic views over beach and sea. Our party was 7 (3 adults 4 children) and because the children found other places to be within the house, the size of the lounge was fine for us. Tv and electric fire and radiator. So kept cosy.
Ground floor double bedroom was clean, fresh and comfortable with sink in room. (As all rooms had). Twin on ground floor again clean comfortable and fresh overlooking a private garden. Next to this a practical shower room. Clean with a decent shower.
Upstairs a further 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Double with views out to see. Dressing table, sink. Fresh and clean feel. Twin room with sloping roof, a small window with views out to see from one of the twin beds. Room felt a bit more dated with flowery bed linen. More of an adult room. So the girls ended up choosing the double room downstairs and swapped with us! Bathroom with toilet, bath and separate shower. Functional and clean. Which completes the accommodation.
Two minute walk (steep incline back) to amenities including a Spar, coffee shops / restaurant / surf shops etc. And of course beach and sea which is a popular surfing haven.
Great location for exploring north cornwall with Rock within walking distance around the headland. Or a short drive away. A walk on ferry takes you over to Padstow, where we normally stay, and is a lovely place to visit. It has changed over the years but it will always be padstow to us and the kids thoroughly enjoy it now too!
Overall lovely 2 nights extended onto our weeks holiday and in comparison to other accommodation / hotels in the area for 2 nights fri / sat. This was the most reasonably priced for location, views and amount of people it could cater for.
