The apartment is located a few steps from the sandy city beach and the promenade with taverns and about 0.5 km from the Old Town and the main bus stop. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, everything was prepared for our evening arrival, even unfolded sofa and extra clean bedding was in the closet. The kitchen is well equipped. Large balcony with table and clothes dryer, mosquito nets in the windows. The washing machine with capsules was a pleasant surprise. The apartment is enough for 4 adults. A mini market is within walking distance. There were some minor problems with Wi-Fi because the router had no connection at first, but it eventually worked. There was also netflix but only in greek. It is a great place for sunbathing and a base for exploring the city. The area is a typically Greek district and it’s a bit noisy. Animal lovers should bring pet food as there are many poor and hungry stray cats in Crete.
The bathroom was a bit small and area is a bit noisy.

The shower was not always working properly, sometimes the water would be warm, sometimes it stayed cold.

Our stay was really great, the apartment was in amazing location - 2 minutes from beach and around 10 minutes from old town. Flat was comfy and clean, easy checkout and checknig, perfect place for family vacation, I highly recommend staying in Sofia apartment :)

Loved the location and the feeling of being part of Nea Hora rather than staying in a faceless hotel. The apartment was super spacious and comfortable and we loved the modern cooker and the washing machine - especially as we’re in Crete for a long while so was good to be able to wash our clothes.
Sofa bed in living room was a bit uncomfortable - for the nights when I didn’t sleep well and needed to get up to read. Wouldn’t have wanted to sleep on it for a week. Our host was so charming and friendly we would have enjoyed seeing her again to chat to or to say good bye in person

The apartment is located very close to city beach with is a huge plus! You need to take a 15min walk to visit city center. The apartment was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. Recommended!

Great location 5 min to beach and sea front restaurants at Nea Chora, 10-15 min from the lovely sea front and old town of Chania and a lovely 20-30 min walk along the sea to beautiful beaches at Agii Apostili (our favourite being 'My Beach' very nice young men running it, keeping it superbly clean) The apartment is spacious and a good balcony with hanging space to dry our towels after the beach and also a great washing machine which we needed after 5 days 'on the road', there was even detergent. Sofia was lovely though we only bumped into her one time but good communication. Good internet and TVs. I could have stayed longer.
The bathroom was very small with a sit down bath with the shower over it so tended to flood and a very noisy flush. Would have liked to find something to clean the bathroom/kitchen.

The property is at walking distance from the beach (1 min) and not too far from the center of Chania and the bus station (10 min).
The apartment is very cool even during the hot cretan summer days and we practically never had to turn on the AC to cool the place down.
The flat was very well equiped, we didn't need to buy anything : salt, pepper, soap for the washing machine, sun umbrella, drying rack were all provided!
The property is overall a little old (closet, washing machine, shower) but nothing was broken when we arrived. The shower curtain had clearly been used a lot before and one of the towels provided had previous stains on it, however we could find a whole lot of extra bed sheets and towels in the closet so it wasn't a problem to change it.
The bed sheets were not fitting the size of the bed (too small), we had to each have our individual sheet.

Very comfortable apartment, fully equipped kitchen, amazingly helpful owner, close to beach and lots of restaurants in walking distance. Great internet service.
Extremely noisy neighbors (owner promised they will address this issue).

Perfect location if you want to be close to the beach! The host Sophia lives in the same building, so she responses and fixes promptly if there is any question/issue. You have a reserved parking spot if you have a rental car.
Shower tub will be a bit small if you are a big build.

First of all, the location. Very close to Nea Chora beach, a beautiful beach. Enough space for two people, kitchen equipped with everything you need, washing machine and iron. Pretty big balcony and a big plus is the covered parking
The shower cabin is quite small
It would need a few repairs without a big investment that still make the difference: the toilet lid fixed, an electrical outlet open, the clothes dryer rusty
Late in the evening sometimes the neighbors make quite a noise but it is not the host's fault

Arrived early in morning 2:30am but still got keys to apartment. Sorry about waking you.
Met host in morning. Was provided with a sheet of recommended local restaurants which turned out to be off the tourist path and very good value, genuine greek food.
Flight was leaving late in evening and host kindly allowed us a late checkout.

Fantastic location, close to the beach and the city center. Very well furnished apartment. Very comfortable bed, which is rare for apartments in Greece. Parking space, good internet - we had everything we needed.

The appartment was clean and close to the beach. The landlady was very nice, flexible and cancel
led the reservation on our request.
At the first glance the pictures show you all rooms possible to rent. So that you have to be aware which room you book. Besides the photos give you an impression that the room has more space than in reality. Finally we had a problem to find a parking place as there were no directions/signs ( the door bell couldnt be gound as well)

The apartment was simply amazing. I stayed in a lot of different apartments through AirBnB and Booking over years, but this apartment has to be one of the best ones I ever stayed at in terms of its simple aesthetics and functionality. It feels very comfortable in this space for some reason.
The location of the apartment is excellent. It's only a minute walk to the beach. It takes about 10-15 minutes to the bus station & the old town.
The host's recommendations are excellent, too. We tried some of the restaurants recommended in her list, and all of them were fantastic. On that note, I'd highly recommend visiting the Five Restaurant in the area.
Overall, it's a great apartment with great value.

Parking spot was available. Great host, easy check in and she had nice recommendations. Clean, nice pictures on walls, cozy and felt like home. Bed is very comfortable and sheets are of great quality. City beach just at the end of the street, nice bakery at other end. City center easy reachable by foot. Appreciate hand sanitizer and mask on while check-in (Covid measures applied)

The location is fantastic - just a minute's walk from the beach. The hosts were extremely helpful - they let us check in in the middle of the night and allowed us to check out as late as 18:00 on the day we were leaving. The flat is comfortable and overall a great place to stay!
The neighbors in the building were rather noisy - they would disregard quiet hours completely and would slam doors, etc. in all hours but this is not the hosts' fault.

The location was extraordinary, close to the beach and it had parking spaces (we had no car, but they had parking spaces). It has a small kitchen, with fridge, glasses, washing machine, everything you need (the host waited us with a bottle of local wine that was magnificent).
the pillows were a bit too big for me and after the first night I had a neck pain, but I didn't used them after the first one. Also, because there are many constructions going on, in the morning was noise, but if you close the door is better.

There was a construction site noise on one side of the building - We were offered another room, which solved this.
