My best friend and I stayed at this condo during June. We loved waking up to our sunrise beach view each morning. This condo is close to restaurants and shopping but right off the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. Loved that we could bring our pups. It would have been nice to have a luggage cart to help get our stuff to the 3rd floor but there was nothing to help with this. Next time I will bring a wagon of my own. Also, if a vacuum had been in the condo it would have helped us clean up better before our departure. Other than these inconveniences the place was great. Would definitely book again. We may try to come back in the fall

We enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfortable, which is saying something coming from me. Location of the unit is nice. There were a few cons, though. The listing says you can see the ocean from "every room but the bathroom." No. The ONLY rooms you can see the ocean from is the living room & 1 bedroom. 1 bedroom has no window at all. There was no dustpan or mop. No way to clean up the sand or any spills that may happen. The kitchen is lacking many essential items (cookie sheet, can opener) & had a limited supply of pots & pans. The hot water runs out before we could have a proper shower. There are no umbrellas at the pool to shield non swimmers from the sun. The locker had an umbrella, but it was broken. The elevator is SUPER slow. We ended up just taking the stairs (which is fine...except for bringing up & taking down luggage). Jacksonville is a fantastic place to vacation if you don't want to travel to a "tourist" town. This condo was a bit overpriced in my opinion, but provided us a clean, comfortable place to stay on our family vacation.

The listing update about the $4M reno is every bit accurate. Really nice job renovating the entire building - made for nice experience. The only thing that looked new on the inside of our condo unit was the blue-painted walls. It was also very clean and that was lovely. However, the furnishings were OLD and WORN. Worst sleep of my life - mattresses offered NO BACK SUPPORT (my entire family struggled to sleep on them). Sleeper sofa lacked bedding and pillows - and rest of bedding had been washed so many times it was translucent and just very very worn. The furniture was not comfortable. There was not a single comfortable chair inside. The two PVC high-top chairs on the patio were the most comfortable seating in the entire place. The beach view from the patio was lovely. The AC was nice and cold. I had a family of 5. There were EXACTLY 5 plates - salad and dinner sized. Not well stocked for kitchen items like this. We bought paper plates. The Owner was very communicative re someone who parked in our designated spot and had them towed which was appreciated. Sleeper sofa bedding was subpar and impossible to find...took me 3xs to get a response and owner responded that what was in the linen closet should be adequate - and said he would order a set of linens from Amazon recvd 2 days later. Left it in box. Nice facility, unit had its pros but too many cons to return again. In spite of that we enjoyed the close proximity to the beach!

Great location! The property was clean and the owner was very responsive! He went above and beyond and overnighted a Keurig coffee maker. Definitely would stay at this property again!

We enjoyed the condo, the proximity to the beach was perfect. The condo could use a little attention. Cabinet knob was missing, closet door off the track, a lot of little things that could be done easily to make it a nicer stay. Overall location was the winner.

This property was perfect for our visit to Jacksonville Beach celebrating our grandson's high school graduation while giving us opportunity to enjoy the ocean. Loved being able to open the balcony door and hear the ocean waves and having a short walk to the beach. Appreciated the beach chairs, towels, and other beach accessories provided. Hopefully the door to the beach storage closet is repaired soon for easier access. I would not recommend this unit to people with a toddler, though, as there are exposed wires within easy reach of a child. Appreciated that there was an elevator available to get to the third floor when needed. A comfortable place to stay with all basic needs met.

Everything was beautiful and worked propery including the AC which kept it nice and cool. The balcony view was gorgeous and the property and pool was definitely clean. The beach walkway was out in front of hotel and made the work less than five minutes from our condo. Thank you for giving my Family an epic vacation experience. God Bless

The condo was VERY clean. The ocean view was amazing. Great restaurants under a mile to walk to. Loved having a washer and dryer. Did not have to pack a lot of clothes. We would definitely stay there again. Also ample parking.

Positives: 1.The host was very responsive for the questions/concerns we had. 2. Very close to the beach! Other mentions… 1. I read in previous posts about a smell. There was definitely a smell (almost like port-a-potty cleaning solution) that persisted throughout our stay. 2. We could not get the main living room tv connected per the instructions sent but the ones in the bedrooms worked just fine. We have a YouTube TV account so we were able to use that in the bedrooms but they were not connected to the hosts’ account. When messaging about the TV, we got a very quick response— just no resolution. 3. The elevator is pretty far from the unit and slow. We ended up just using the stairs. 4. The beach supply closet was full but the doorway was blocked so we were unable to reach anything/ very dirty in there. The door also was a little unhinged and hard to open/not clearly marked. 5. Unit was dated.. microwave above stove did not work for lighting/vent. A microwave was provided for the counter though as a back up. Bathtub had some rust spots. But otherwise clean. Again very close to the beach for a great price! You get what you pay for. The pool was nice but very, very cold during our stay in April. No shade at the pool so bring an umbrella.

The Sandpiper Condo complex is just gorgeous .. newly renovated. Love the new color! The location is very walkable and that is what we enjoy most Great beach- found lots of shark teeth. Our host was responsive and kind.. The rental unit is very functional, could use some TLC - overall we enjoyed our time Thank you Kavi

The location could not be better. It was clean and comfortable. One of the beds was exceptionally comfortable. It had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. The host was accessible at all times. We really appreciated that there were plenty of towels, beach, chairs, umbrellas. It really was wonderful easy to manage. We loved it and can’t wait to go back.

The stay was nice, however while taking a shower the first day, there wasn't anything in the tub to prevent a slip and fall. My wife fell, bruising her ribs, lung and hip which made our vacation somewhat painful and limited.

This was a very nice place to stay. Clean and very close to the beach. We could not find a blinder in the room nor were there any ice trays. The luggae cart was hard to roll couldn't get it to go straight. LOL. Other than that the stay was great. The property manager was very easy to contact. She responded within 24 hrs. The view was great from the balcony.

We enjoyed our stay in this condo. It is just steps to the beach. The pool was clean but it was too cold to swim in, probably because it had an extra foot of water in it from Hurricane Ian, plus it was October. The queen beds in each bedroom were comfortable and the bedding was just the right weight. The Internet power cable was a bit of a tripping hazard but I think they were still working on it, and it will be rectified. The couch was large and very comfortable. You can see the ocean from the couch as well as the balcony. There were several beach chairs and an umbrella in a closet located in the parking area. It was nice not to have to lug the beach stuff up to the condo. The steps and the elevator are conveniently close to the condo. Restaurants are close by also.

Close to beach and everything you could want. You may want to bring along a few beach towels if there are more than 2 people along with an umbrella and beach chair. Does have a small cooler though to take to the beach!

We had a good experience overall with a tiny issue that wasn't resolved. The microwave was shorting out the breaker when running it. I emailed landlord but no reply. Other than that, the condo was very clean and nicely decorated. The balcony is in a good spot to watch the sunrise in the mornings, it was beautiful! Chairs on the balcony were not the greatest. Within walking distance to shops and easy access to the beach. Pool was clean and relaxing. We had a great time there are a lot of things to do in Jacksonville beach!

Was a little outdated. Killed a few roaches. But overall place was clean and beds were comfortable. We were happy with our stay.

The owner was easy to communicate with. The property itself needs a little sprucing up. The condo was in a nice location right next to the beach. The condo pretty much had most things you would need. Plenty of towels, beach towels, beach chairs and the a/c worked beyond great. Would have liked a couple more blankets or throws due to the a/c working so well it was chilly watching movies. A chair to sit down in would work great as the property only has a couch (not the one pictured). I would definitely rent there again!

This was our second stay in this exact condo. We have been coming to the Sandpiper condo's for about 12 years. Although this one is somewhat outdated and needs a few things fixed up it is 100% worth the price. We would stay here again.

How was my stay?? What stay?? Drove 6 hours with my 93 year old grandmother. We arrived around 5pm on check-in day to find the building was gutted, under construction. All roped off with construction tape. Owner never responded to my messaged. Took 5 hours to get ahold of VRBO. Had no where to go. Ended up driving back home. Completely ruined the vacation. Beware!!!!

After a 10 hour drive we couldn’t get into the condo. We did not get codes until later. We were on the third floor and it was not accessible from the elevator. For a heart patient, who was there for a procedure, this was more than just an inconvenience. We could not use the balcony or the pool because of construction. Boards were everywhere and the garage had no lights, which caused my wife to trip and fall. I have pictures of her leg, the wooden boards, and the light fixture that didn’t work. Even with all the construction fencing, no work was ever done during our stay. The condo itself didn’t have all the amenities describe. We had to buy several items ourselves. The positive is that the air conditioner worked well. I really don’t know whose fault it is, the owner or VRBO, or a combination. Codes not getting sent is something that just happens. The condition of the building and the neglect of informing to the customer about these horrific problems is just wrong. There have been apologies from either the owner or VRBO. Please use caution.

The shower curtain was molded and mold around the shower. The tub didn’t drain well. Other than that the accommodations were wonderful!

Excellent location, clean and well suited to a long stay. Feels like our second home. Fourth stay here and will most likely make it an annual destination.

The location and view are fabulous. Comfortable beds and everything you need.
