Had a great time at this property on a weekend getaway. The weather caused some havoc but made it an adventure and enjoyed the small town and walking to get breakfast and the small shops.

Nice place, spacious & has many amenities, incl hot tub & firepit. Close to downtown and very close to entry to (one of) the entry to Appalachian Trail for hiking. 3 suggestions to make it perfect - 1) better mattress for master bedroom, 2) better internet (might be limited by what's available), 3) provide a keurig/nespresso or basic coffee/tea service.

We did a guys trip to hike the AT for a few days. This place was perfect. About 50 yards from the entrance, we jumped on and hiked about 15 miles (pretty steep and exhausting section). At night, we walked in to town and listened to live music at Big Pillow.
House was perfect for us with a bed, two bunks and a few futons. Outdoors had a fire pit and a hot tub which were great. House had everything you need and perfect location. Manager was really communicative. Would definitely stay again!

Melanie was very responsive to any concerns that we had and addressed any problems quickly. When there some initial issues, Melanie made sure that they were resolved very quickly. There was a power outage for most of the time that we were there, but Melanie cannot be held responsible for the weather/Duke Power. All around, we had a good time, and we would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Hot Springs.

We enjoyed our stay in hot springs! A charming home just a short walk into town and an even shorter walk to the Appalachian trailhead. The jacuzzi was nice after an afternoon of hiking!

We were coming into town with side-by-side’s and some places frown upon that. She was very welcoming and even let us know the best places to park local breweries and places to grab coffee in the morning out of five stars. She deserves a 10. Thanks for everything we all said that we would be back!!!!

The cabin is very charming with lots of character. Close enough to walk into town which we really enjoyed, the hot tub was wonderful and we also enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front porch. It's an old cabin with lots of charm and warmth, it eminded me of visiting Grandma's house. You could feel the love that used to live there. Melanie was a wonderful host and easy to communicate with.

The property was perfect. The host called us the night before and gave tips on the town. We got in later than expected and there were lights and the heat on for us which was great after a long day of driving. It was a short walk to the town but keep in mind its a small town so things do close down a little earlier. We would book again for sure.

What a warm and cozy refuge after spending the days at a freezing outdoor wedding at Paint Rock !! Stepping in the door each day felt just like coming home. The host was attentive to our needs and we enjoyed meeting her briefly.

We had a quick two night stay at the log cabin. It fit four adults and two kids comfortably. The kids loved the bunk beds. The owner was easy to get a hold of and attentive to anything we needed. Even though we weren't there for hiking, it was a nice location right on the trail. Walking into town was also easy and quick. The hot tub was nice .

My family had a lovely time visiting this property! It is steps away from the main street in Hot Springs, everything was walkable. We loved hiking right outside the front door. The town as a great microbrewery and don't forget to do a hot spring soak. The cabin was charming and comfortable. Melanie the owner was so helpful and kind.
I would absolutely stay here again!

This is only our second experience with renting a property for vacation through VRBO. This was a very good experience and it builds my trust in working with a premier host. Melanie checked in on us before we arrived to the property and extended her availability should we need her for anything. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, the fire pit and the big front porch on this property. We ate breakfast and had coffee on the porch each morning while enjoying the breezy mountain air and the beautiful views. It was a very close walk downtown as the listing noted. The town is so cute and we enjoyed the small town feel for sure.

Wedding Guest Getaway
This was my first time in Hot Springs and I came for a wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous there. The cabin was the quintessential place you’d want to stay in the mountains. Melanie is a WONDERFUL person to rent from and was there for me every step of the way. I truly enjoyed it! Definitely recommend staying here and reading all of the entries in the guest book. They are phenomenal!

Wonderful Cabin on the AT!
The location was perfect and the host was very thoughtful and attentive! The house was perfect for a small group of moms to get away and celebrate my 40th! We were able to easily walk downtown and everything was easily accessible from the location. The hot tub was excellent too. Highly recommend staying here!

We have tried various locations in Hot Springs before and wanted to try somewhere new. This cabin was close enough for us to walk to town. It was the perfect size for the two of us and would have also worked if we wanted to bring our girls. The bathroom is older and could use some upgrades: shower head not the best, rusted sink, dirty fan vents. The hot tub was great because it is just outside the back door and you could tell it was newer. Overall, it was a great little place to stay in one of our favorite weekend spots.

Wedding in Hot Springs
Our son was getting married at Paint Rock Farm, so we needed a place to stay nearby.
I found this listing, and loved the looks of the house from the pictures. The home turned 100 years old this year, and it is amazing! We loved the layout of the house, the front porch, and the back yard! We did not have time to enjoy the hot tub, but we did check it out. We walked into the small town for a quick bite for lunch.
We did have a couple of issues with things, but Melanie was very quick to help us out. She was a most gracious host, and took great care of us. I would highly reccomend this vrbo! The house is very comfortable, roomy, and quaint. Melanie was terrific, too!

Comfy & Cozy
We loved our little getaway to Hot Springs! The owner, Melanie, checked in with us before we arrived to ensure any questions we had were answered...she also shared tons of information regarding her town and the surrounding area.
Rent this cabin...you won’t regret it!

Quiet and Peaceful. Good Location.
The Chestnut Log Cabin is an older, solid, Craftsman structure.
The living room has a beautiful view and comfy seating.
There was speedy WiFi and several apps on the screen for us.
It has a classic kitchen with an eat-in space.
The dining room is antique and rustic.
The bedrooms are spacious with storage for clothing.
The air was cooled by a single window unit with ample fans.
There is a 4 person hot tub out the back, off the sun room,
and a firepit with chairs to hang out under the stars.
We loved the front porch and made good use of the rockers.

My sisters and sister-in-law enjoyed a brief getaway to Hot Springs to celebrate a 60th birthday. The location was perfect, and we would definitely stay there again. The house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves, and the hot tub sealed the deal. Charm, function, and convenience!
