The weather was great and the location perfect.

This unit was in a quiet location yet within walking distance to restaurants and a short walk to the city center. Sean personally met with us at check-in, explained the unit amenities and even suggested a great place for dinner nearby! Parking on-site was a bonus. Would definitely recommend this place!!

This was a very nice place to stay. Great view of the bay and short walking distance to everything

This is a weird vacation rental! This apartment (#4) has exterior grade self closing doors separating bedrooms and within the hall that slam if you don’t have the wooden wedge in. Very dated interior, light bulbs burnt out and bedside table lamps that can’t be plugged in. Very sparse kitchen, no laundry detergent (some lame excuse that someone was allergic to the detergent they use to provide) and pans that should have been replaced ages ago. Beds were uncomfortable and not enough pillows.
This is also the first vacation rental that I couldn’t communicate with the owner via WhatsApp or just be provided with lockbox/key information.
The view/location is the only thing going for this place!

Our week in this 4th floor apartment wasn't the best for weather but my goodness when the sun shines, the view is fabulous. And when the wind lets up (and with a fresh coffee in your hand), sitting out on the balcony is a joy!
We loved the location too. Just a 5 minute walk to Salthill with all it has to offer but far enough away to not be disturbed by the hustle and bustle. A 15 minute walk in the other direction (25 minutes if you take the more scenic route alongside the causeway) takes you to the heart of Galway.
We've much more we want to see of Ireland but I'm sure at some point we'll come back to Galway and when we do, I hope we'll be able to stay here again.

Stayed her for 6 days in July - it was such a great location. 15 min walk to downtown, but on site parking for rental car. The place was spotless. It was so nice to have space for 3 adults. Couldn’t recommend it more!

First off the owner was very easy to contact and things went exactly as he had informed us. Home was very clean, well stocked and easy walking distance to all that Galway has to offer. The view is spectacular! I dropped an earring down the drain and the owner kindly coordinated a plumber for me to fish it out! Lovely vacation spot!

The apartment couldn't be in a better position - looking out to sea and overlooking the promenade. The balcony is a perfect place to watch the world go by and only a few minutes' walk to beaches, bars and restaurants and 15-20 minute walk into Galway City Centre. Galway is a marvellous vibrant city and the surrounding countryside is stunning. Sean and his family were so friendly and helpful and the weather was incredible!

Nice place to stay. Clean, and good location. Kitchen could have used more cookware and plates/drinkware.

Very nice and spacious apartment, with great views out onto Galway bay. Well located for trips into city (15 minute walk) or west into Connemara. Good local shops, particularly Mortons or Galway (2 minutes away) which sells all sorts of delicious foody treats, fresh bread etc. Parking in lock up garage on ground floor was very useful. Owner Sean and son Cathill were very friendly and helpful.

The apartment had a terrific view of the bay and was in a very convenient location. Downtown Galway was an easy 30 - minute walk away and the local Salthill neighborhood had plenty of stores and restaurants. Sean met us and showed us around the apartment and also told us where the grocery stores were. Very helpful.

Salthill is a vibrant location and this cosy apartment overlooks the Prom with beautiful views. It is an easy walk to restaurants and pubs, and a short drive into Galway city center. Sean was a great host.

Couldn't have ask for a better place to stay. Beautiful views and all the amenities we could want. So happy to have picked this place for our trip to Galway to celebrate our Dad's 90th birthday at the place he was born. Sean and his son were amazing and also helped find another place for my Dad to stay for a few days after my brother and I left this beautiful place.
Hope to be back again some day.

It is a lovely apartment on the 3th floor.
The furniture has seen its best days.
But everything works.
For four persons their is not enough plates glasses coffee cups and so on what you need in a kitchen.

This place has a beautiful view of the bay. It is within walking distance of Salthill shops and restaurants and Galway shops and restaurants. We stayed here 6 years ago and liked it so much, we came back with friends. However we were disappointed that the place was not as clean as the last time we were here. We also had some towels that had an oder, a broken chair, and dirty dishes. We did have an issue with one of the toilets that was resolved quickly.

My husband, 2 teenage children and myself stayed in unit 4 at Arus Grattan Apartments for one week (2nd floor, ocean view). Hands down the best thing about this apartment was the balcony views. We spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the view. Sean and his dad were incredibly helpful and friendly. The apartment was surface clean but could really use a deep clean throughout. The wifi wasn’t the best, but resetting the router would get it working again, so an easy fix. It was an easy walk into town and took us about 15 minutes or so. We really enjoyed Galway and all it has to offer. We hope to return one day.

We enjoyed the location - the view was wonderful, and we appreciated the opportunity to sit on the terrace. The beds and pillows are a bit spartan, but otherwise the mod cons are all helpful.

The property was very clean and very conveniently located. Great view, easy access to the promenade. Convenient private parking. Sean was great to deal with.

The property is exactly as expected. Top floor of an apartment complex with a view to die for! The apartment was very clean and well taken maintained. It has a washer, no dryer, but that worked well for us. The manager, Sean, was very flexible with our timings for arrival and all went according to plan. This is just a little out of Galway centre which suited us. It is an easy walk in. There is a beach strand just in front and wonderful shops, grocery store and restaurants 5 minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We stayed in the top floor apartment for a week and had a great time. Sean was a fab host- easy to contact and helped with any requests we had. I stayed with my parents and toddler and found the flat spacious and the view from the living room and balcony of the beach and coast was beautiful. The decor is a little dated but the place is good value for money. Very good location and super secure parking.
I would recommend.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Arus Grattan. We stayed there approximately 5 years ago and loved it. So we came back again. Perfect location regardless of whether it is wet or not. Proximity to all Salthill and Galway City Centre have to offer. Easy walking to everything you need. Excellent gourmet grocery store within steps. Accommodations are comfortable and clean. Internet service worked well; we were able to stream and work from the apartment.
Overall, very happy with the place once again.

Positives - Good sized rooms and great balcony with sea view. Walking distance to both Salthill and Galway with plenty of choice for restaurants/cafes/pubs. Beach(with lifeguard) was 2 minute walk from apartment.
Negatives - Weak WiFi. More large plates and glasses would have been helpful.
Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend to anyone.

The best part of being in Ireland is...just being in Ireland! This is the second time I've stayed in this apartment. After the first time, I knew I'd be back. The location is great, overlooking the water, a secure, spotless, modern apartment in a quiet neighborhood, with a wonderful landlord.

First off, it’s ocean view, not ocean front! That being said, it’s location in Sandhill makes most of Galway within walking distance. A short walk gets you coffee, restaurants, pubs and groceries. Secure off street parking is a definite plus. The unit itself is open and light filled. The water system is challenging, but useable. We never did figure out the washer/dryer in one. The owner did volunteer to come show us when we gave up, but we didn’t really need it. We were promptly given more towels when we couldn’t figure out how to dry the ones we had! It you want to use it, ask for instructions when you check in. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans. It is the first unit we’ve ever stayed at that had no staples (salt, sugar, oil, ground coffee, etc.) in a cupboard. We didn’t cook, so not an issue. Just a FYI. All in all, would highly recommended the unit.

This flat was perfect for us. One bedroom was en suite and the other had a bathroom next door. The owner’s son gave us a very thorough orientation to the place upon arrival. The view is magnificent and was so relaxing when we ate our breakfasts at home. For those traveling, the bathrooms are stocked with soaps and conditioning shampoo. Is you need a stronger conditioner, you should bring it. I was pleasantly surprised by these, as I didn’t expect any. The kitchen has most everything you will need, but we couldn’t find a cheese grater. Chopping cheese worked fine instead. Pans, dishwashing detergent, plates, bowls, mugs, glasses of various sorts, utensils, turners, etc were are kindly supplied. I felt very much at home. I was comfortable, and with close walking distance to a market, restaurants and pubs, and several services. The aquarium and leisure center are just up the road. It’s along a bus route (2.45 into town), a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the train station ( about 10-12 eoros), or a half hour walk to Eyre Square. The flat is well located for day time activities and allows for quieter nights is in quieter area of Galway. I loved it here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay out of the hubbub of downtown Galway. The Bay views are so worth it.
