Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Cancun Airport

Our stay at Fairfield was amazing! From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, spacious, and had plenty of natural sunlight, which made it feel bright and comfortable. The rest of the staff were also very welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the pool area. It was nicely designed and offered a good level of privacy since it wasn’t clearly visible from the guest rooms. This made us feel much more comfortable and relaxed while using the pool. The breakfast was another highlight. There was a decent variety of options in the buffet, with mostly American-style breakfast items along with some nice Mexican touches, such as chilaquiles and beans. It was a great way to start the day. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Fairfield. The clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, private pool area, and enjoyable breakfast made it a great experience. I would definitely consider staying here again. The hotel bar is definitely worth mentioning! The pizzas are a must-try, and the other Mexican dishes, especially the tacos and quesadillas, were also really good. We enjoyed the food so much that we ended up having dinner at the bar every single night during our stay. The only thing to keep in mind is that the prices are a bit high compared to restaurants in Canada, especially when it comes to drinks. For example, we paid around CAD $17 for a 900 ml bottle of water! 😄

The only downside was the delay with the airport shuttle pickup. We had to wait around 30 minutes for the shuttle. I recommend coordinating with the reception desk well in advance, or taking a taxi to the hotel, as it isn’t too expensive.

Wir haben inklusive Flughafenshuttle gebucht und unsere Ankunftszeit über Booking Kontakt dem Hotel mitgeteilt. Allerdings hat uns niemand geantwortet. Leider wurden wir am Flughafen NICHT abgeholt. Wir haben sicher 1 Stunde gewartet und mussten dann ein sündteures Taxi nehmen. Wir haben die Dame an der Rezeption darauf aufmerksam gemacht und sie wollte uns allen ernstes erklären, dass sie diese Emails nicht beantworten, sondern Booking !!! Keine Entschuldigung oder Entschädigung, wir sind fassungslos ...
