The view from the windows to the sea!!

A small issue. On the pictures on booking.com you see that you are able to open all the windows, what gives you a balcony feeling. We were not able to open these windows in a proper way, De lady who cleaned the house had also problems with opening the windows, she said especially with the second window pane. So she could not help us with this. She told us that she would pass a message to the host, but we received no reaction from the host. But overall we loved this apartment.

The apartment itself is very comfortable and has all you need to relax. Kitchen is great, appliances top notch and TV/Netflix is a nice touch. The building also is very well taken care of and couldn’t be better located, with easy access to the Promenade and to Regent Street

Second bedroom doesn’t have an external window (it’s to the corridor), so needs to be permanently closed for privacy and makes the space a bit dark. But comfortable and spacious.

The views are superb. The kitchen and seating area very good and very relaxing. The location is at the very end of Sea Point, which was fine with a good local vibe. The second bedroom is small and I wouldn’t recommend the flat for two couples, but could see it working for a family with younger kids.

There is a single portable air conditioning machine which is not the same as an air conditioned flat. Though the ceiling and portable fans meant it was not an issue for us. The clear glass in the en suite bathroom was not exactly to our taste. Our arrival wasn’t great with the agent’s representative sitting at the gate not acknowledging us as she didn’t have the keys. We were eventually let into the parking, and explained how it worked, by one of the other owners/tenants who was concerned we would block the parking for other tenants. When the agent’s representative finally acknowledged us, and let us into the property, she didn’t explain the air conditioning situation, and we had to ask how the portable unit worked. There was washing still hanging to dry and we had to ask her to store the washing away. Also the deposit was not refunded without a lot of chasing. After a few days of chasing I was finally called by the agent’s owner / senior manager who apologised profusely and explaining it was due to junior new staff. Bottom line is flat is very relaxing but the agent’s performance was poor. We also noticed we think we could have paid less if we had shopped around better.

Location, views and facilities of apartment all fantastic

All in all a good place with a great location and lots of space. A few things could have been better at this price but all in all I'd stay here again.

Although not bad, there are a few thing to improve if guests are expected to pay these rates: If there are 2+ people staying, it would be helpful to have more than one set of keys between us. The fabric on the furniture is old and stained, making the lounge a place where you don't really want to relax Provide better quality toiletries, it feels as if the bottles have been refilled The floor is extremely slippery and may be a hazard to guests

The house is stunning and modern. Location excellent.

Communication was amazing from the beginning and we were met by the host at the property and assisted with parking and getting in and out. The location was AMAZING !! very close to shops, restaurants, the promenade and had easy access to main roads. A beautiful view and the living areas were very baby friendly, with soft ottomans instead of glass or wooden coffee table, and even plug covers! the TV had excellent channel options, the wifi was great and the washing and drying facilities were very handy. There was hand sanitiser and candles / lamps for load shedding and even washing powder and tablets for the machines. Heaters, fans and a portable air con unit were all available. Multiple coffee options, from instant, to filter to pods, as well as nice cold water in the fridge and milk and rusks, and fruit on offer! There was a camp cot for a minimal fee that was very sturdy, clean and had a baby safe, breathable mattress and a spare sheet for us. The extra towels in the cupboards were also very much appreciated.

A mirror that was not mounted, in the room designated for our baby to sleep in - FELL!! Luckily it did not shatter but we got a very big fright. No apology was given and the cost of the mirror was taken off the R2000 deposit that we were told we had to pay after we checked in... with no additional info regarding this. Quite disappointing.

This apartment is in a prime position with a seaside view, kitted out with fine finishes and provides all the comfortability one would need. Hosts are fantastic with communication! Highly recommend.
