Amari Phuket

The Amari Phuket is a fantastic hotel in a great location at Patong. It's just enough out of the craziness but close enough that you can walk (if you like the heat) or catch a tuk tuk or the free shuttle into the main streets. The view from our room was spectacular and the room is a great size with all amenities. A great view comes with the trade off of having to walk up a lot of stairs and hills - most of this is taken care of with the free shuttles to your room - but it wouldn't be a good place for anyone with mobility issues. The staff are lovely and friendly. We quite liked having the Coral Room access where we could stop for a cool drink and snack on the way down to the pool.

The breakfast buffet offered a great spread but some items ended up being cold as they were kept under heat lamps. But that's just a tiny thing.

The whole resort was very picturesque and was equipped with really nice facilities.

The location was beautiful - on the side of the mountain, but really inconvenient to get anywhere within walking distance (especially in the heat). It felt silly catching a grab just to get to 7/11 a few min drive up the road for water and snacks but it was too far to walk during the hottest part of the day

The location is amazing for families who want to disconnect from the night life and chill while still being close, the view is amazing worth every penny, room dining is as good as the top restaurants we tried.

1) The windows are not tinted so there is no privacy if you stand close or sit by the dining table everyone can see everything even if you put down the blinders. 2) the golf cart staff are amazing but they are overwhelmed always because of high demand also you'd wait alot for a cart to take to your room. 3) room service food is a 10 yet not diverse not many options, would love to see more halal options rather than just vegetarian.
