Dunkeld House Hotel

The hotel is in a lovely, scenic location.

We (and the entire hotel) had no hot water on the day of our departure. Whilst we appreciate these things can’t be helped, there was no messaging or open apologies about this. In fact, I don’t think we saw a hotel manager our entire stay. I would expect a manager to be going round apologising to guests for such a fundamental issue… I would also generally expect some sort of refund offered for this. The bar and restaurant prices are on the high side which probably explains why not many people hang out in the bar post-dinner. The cooked to order breakfast portion was meagre. Have not seen bus parties at the hotel previously, personal preference but would rather not stay somewhere that accommodates large groups.

The room was nice and clean. The dinner was good. The location is fantastic, beautiful nature all around.

Very crowded hotel, terrible outdated swimming, the personnel is not focused on quality but quantity, they are stressed, they go fast. Noisy hotel. You are invisible as a guest in the crowd. The bar and restaurant are badly decorated and designed. Too bad, there is a lot of potential.

The staff not very welcoming at reception when checking in and out, didn’t find the staff overly attentive at all. The breakfast wasn’t the best either, flies in the milk. With it being the Buffett style some food wasn’t hot either.
