Claverton Country House Hotel

Beautiful, well appointed bedroom, with a delicious cooked breakfast. Very peaceful location.

Bathroom is a tad dated.

Nice room, breakfast excellent

The hotel is off a main road and has beautiful grounds. The location worked for us as we did not want to be in town. The room was good and the ensuite fine. There was a fan in the room, which we really liked. Breakfast was excellent. We also had one supper there and it was good too. Staff were great. Nice to have a lounge on the main floor to relax in.

We did not realize thst it is also an event place so the parking lot was busy and the night we arrived we wanted to have dinner there, and needed to adjust our time so as to not interfere with the big dinner for the event. Thst was not hard and we had good service. It was the weekend and if we had known we would be prepared. But our room was quiet and no issues with music noise (but we did close the windows). The bed would benefit with a mattress topper and a light blanket being available would have been nice as the duvet was too warm.

Room was large, breakfast was nice and staff were friendly. Setting of the hotel, with gardens and trees were really nice, parking was ok too.

There was black mold in the shower, you can buy stuff to get rid of this but they clearly dont care to. Venue is for events, so can be noisy at night and without AC in the rooms, on a hot day you have to have the windows open so can hear every sound, in this case, a man angrily shouting at a woman for letting him down, there are no signs urging guests to consider people sleeping and no staff to ask them to keep the noise down.
