1. Ideal location with easy access to the motorway.
2. The staff were helpful and friendly
3. the breakfast is decent
1. I stayed in a queen room and I have to say the bed and pillows were incredibly firm and uncomfortable
2. my room keycard required reactivation like 6 times, basically everytime I left the room. I kept it away from magnets/phone etc but still - this was really frustrating. If other travellers are facing similar issues it should be looked into.

Shower was scalding with no way to adjust. Wifi was rubbish.

Clean room. Comfortable bed. Temperature just right. Smart reception.
Only 1 cup and a cardboard cup for 2 people. Fan in bathroom not working. 2 bedside lights not working. Would have benefitted to have an arm chair and some overhead lighting in the room.

staff were pleasant and very friendly,
Several people had not paid for breakfast yet had it, we paid but tokens were not managed, breakfast not worth £10, although it’s all you can eat for that price the amount eaten would not have matched this. Beds were not overly comfortable, Could have done with more pillows

Location was good, eventual room was clean and comfortable, bed very good. Cooked breakfast serviceable.
When we initially checked in (early) at 11:30 AM, we discovered that our room had definitely not been cleaned. The bed was dishevelled and there was a prominent brown stain on the sheets on one side. The bathroom also showed signs of use, with used towels and an unclean toilet.
We had a wedding to get to, so we told someone on the front desk. We let them know that we'd be out for about 10 hours - so plenty of time to clean the room, right? Well, we got back about 11:30 PM and found our room in exactly the same state - dirty. I went down to the front desk and explained to the night manager what had happened. He looked for another room but told us that unfortunately they were fully booked, so no rooms available. We were then offered clean linen - so that we could change the sheets ourselves (?). When reiterating that the room and bathroom were both obviously dirty, an alternative room miraculously became available. I understand it must be difficult to manage rooms during a busy period, but when we gave 12 hours of notice to get a room cleaned to a basic level, then told we would have to sleep in soiled sheets until we pressed for the third time, really is unacceptable. Our eventual room was pretty decent - no further complaints.

The room was lovely and very suitable as we were travelling with our dog. The beds were comfortable, it was nice and clean, and the view of the little pond was lovely. It was also a very convenient location and a good price.
The staff were exceptionally unhelpful and rather rude - we were told by two people when we booked and then when we arrived that we were allowed to sit in the little area just outside of the restaurant to have breakfast (that we paid for when we booked) with our dog, but that she was not allowed in the restaurant, which was fine. However, when we arrived for breakfast the following morning we were told we were not allowed in any communal area with our dog and were not allowed to sit and eat the breakfast we had paid for in a so-called "dog friendly" hotel. After speaking to several members of staff, we were finally allowed to sit at the far end of the seating area (far away from the restaurant) as a "special favour" and made to feel a nuisance despite being assured when we booked and arrived that we were allowed to sit there to have breakfast with her! She is, by the way, the quietest, most well-behaved miniature poodle and we were there for a visit to a specialist vet, so we could not leave her alone (and wouldn't anyway) and she literally just sat under the table on her blanket and went to sleep when we sat down.
The breakfast itself was absolutely appalling. We were, once again, assured on the phone (by the chef nonetheless) that we would be able to eat nearly the whole full English breakfast with our dietary requirements, hence why we booked and pre-paid for it. What arrived was a tiny plate of two mushrooms, two hard tomatoes, a spoonful of beans, a disgusting and seriously undercooked mash of vegetables in the shape of a sausage, and a slice of dry toast - they said nothing else was available for us to eat and what was there was frankly inedible. We ended up having to begin our 5 hour drive home on empty stomachs.
So, despite the lovely room and view, we were extremely disappointed with our stay and they really should not advertise as "dog-friendly" and as catering to dietary restrictions when they most certainly do not.

A short one night stay does not expect too much, but clean and breakfast ok.
