B&B HOTEL Birmingham Centre

This is our 10th visit and our first visit after it’s B&B take over. We were surprised by the change of decor, it feels fresher but a little corporate. We liked the cosy, game feel from the Pentahotel and enjoyed the quirkiness. It feels like a travel lodge now, but a little bit more up market perhaps. We liked the upgrade of the rooms but still think all rooms should have a phone for safety reasons. Breakfast was yummy when there was enough. It definitely felt cleaner now.

I think there needs to be bathroom upgrades done, and better doors on the hotel rooms! This has always been a problem and is the only thing that lets the sleep side of things down at this hotel. Doors banging at 2/3/4am is not acceptable. There needs to be some kind of door slamming component bought for all the doors if the doors can’t be changed. The breakfast also needs to be managed properly, we sat down and didn’t tell anyone our room number until half way through our breakfast and we went to find someone to let them know. Missed the character of the old hotel, perhaps you could bring some elements back? We used to love the cosy fires etc!

Super clean and tidy with great location

Room was nice and clean and spacious. The breakfast choices weree very good. The location to the ICC was excellent - just a 12 mins walk.

I requested more toilet paper and body soap - was not done on a timely basis.

Very nice breakfast and proximity to the city centre.

I arrived late at night, the toilet and bathroom had no soap or shower gel and my door password was not working. It took me half an hour extra to get this sorted (I was already very exhausted from a long trip). Next day I found out there was no iron available at the hotel. I was given instead a 'steamer' which didn't really iron any of my shirts and even stained one of them as it was spilling some kind of thick dark liquid.
