La Griffe Hotel Roma

It was already my second time at the hotel and I am sure for the next time I will book it again. The rooms are huge, beautiful, super super clean and the staff is so friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect and in all directions you can reach everhthing within minutes: the train station, colosseo, pantheon, roman forum, best restaurants, spanish steps and so on. Also at the breakfast you can find anything you need with great quality.

The staff were friendly and responded well to asking for a room change. The hotel is in a good location, everything is in walking distance. The rooms get cleaned every day which is a nice touch. The breakfast is good, they provided some gluten free crackers and bread. Wish there was more gluten free choices such as pastries/tarts.

The hotel looks lovely when you walk in, but it doesn’t really match the rest. The deluxe rooms were spacious, but they look very tired. The floors and walls are very old and have lots of marks on them. Our first room had a bath, but nowhere to put the shower head. We asked the staff if we could move to another room and they were very accommodating. The second shower had a hose that was too short and wasn’t very powerful. There was little bits around the room that could do with fixing. It’s just not what you expect for a 4 star hotel, especially when you’re paying more to stay in a nicer room.

The libby was dirty and there were events in the dining room so we had to go off site to eat

Events preventing us from using the roof top and restaurant Shower was a bit dangerous for possible slip n fall

The location is very good - walking distance from Termini train station and the main sights. The breakfast was good also, lots of choice.

Definitely a case of style over substance. The walls in the room need repainting (lots of scuff marks) the air conditioning did not cool the room sufficiently which meant we had to leave the window open throughout the night and it is a city centre location (sirens, road noise etc.). The beds were uncomfortable.
