Wonderful customer service by the staff in particular kay who was a great help in resolving a room reservation matter...I give her 5 stars alone.
there was an issue with the room phone which didn't seem like it was working

Friendly staff, property was very clean and recently refurbished.
There was a fire door in the corridor outside our room which was very noisy.
The lock on our room door had some screws missing which meant we were unable to use the deadlock inside. We reported it to the management who said they would address it.

Overall the hotel is good with decent quality in all parts. close to city centre so no need for a taxi. Breakfast was very good, bed was comfortable and the level of equipment was as expected.
The room was cold with no ability to alter the temperature, the hot water was just over 'warm' and the water pressure was a dribble so definitely not at the 4 star level. at 8am the housekeeping staff were moving what sounded like a lot of buckets (this was a Sunday morning) and tried to access the room without any knock or announcement. This was a particular concern and would be frightening for a lone female guest (we were a couple).
