The Merchant's House, BW Signature Collection

I booked a single room at the hotel. other friends had booked singles / twins or doubles. My room was warm and clean. There was cold water, a kettle, TV, tea and coffee and an iron / ironing board. The bed was quite comfortable.

The location of my room (Room 102) was not good. It was on the ground floor on a connecting corridor between the back of reception and the back of the bar. There was a door in the corridor outside, as well as a door to some external rooms off a courtyard at the back. The toilets used by customers of the toilets were also adjacent to the corridor. This meant that both nights the door to my room kept reverberating as the door outside opened and closed, it was very noisy and woke me up. The staff were obviously using the corridor from about 6 am each of the two mornings I was there. So I had dreadful sleep both nights.

The receptionist that checked us in was the nicest we have ever met and a great asset for the organization. The room was clean and a good size.

Its not the hotel's fault but Friday night in Salisbury is busy and there was alot of noise that you can hear in the room from the street.

Good size for a small room

Room was small and smelt quite damp and musty

Bar was never open and room smelt and was small.
