This was a happy and unexpected wonderful stay. Everything was so much better than I expected. The price was very competitive and the room was fantastic. Extremely helpful staff and the top floor restaurant was a super bonus experience. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Great location for our travels to Plymouth & on to Devon & Cornwall. Staff most accommodating, with their service. All were friendly & polite from desk, to cleaning personal.

The location was great - easy walk to town and Barbican on the Hoe. The staff were lovely and helped us with things we'd forgotten etc - loved using the pool and the bed was massive and so comfortable

2 out of 3 lifts were out of action - bit of a long haul up the stairs

This is the second time staying at the crowne plaza It’s central, and a good hotel with leisure facilities

Pool could have been warmer. Hot tub would have been nice. We were lucky but I noticed a huge queue for breakfast when we left.

Boring and poorly thought out room for the money . £20 for a breakfast is taking the piss for starters . Hairdryer didn't work , broke . Access to shower is retrictive, to say the least. Only if your 4 feet tall can you shower not possible to wash hair only with shower head as can't detach , It leaked all over the floor from badly positioned screen and drip strip . Poor design and lack of consultancy as to what customers might actually NEED/WANT .

Location was excellent enabling us to walk to Pier 1, the location for a family wedding. Beautiful views from the restaurant. Very attentive, personable restaurant staff.

We didn’t want a full English with going to a wedding. Our choice however to pay. The standard price was a lot for the continental only range which we had. An excellent range of choices if you wanted to fuel up and skip lunch.

I like your welcoming, all facilities, swimming pool, spa, breakfast, room services and all staff helpful.

I didn't like the car parking charges.

Amazing restaurant, fantastic views

I was very pleased that there was an electric charger at the hotel, but there was only one that was operational. Fortunately we managed to get onto it after a brief wait.

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good and views were lovely.

The bed was 2 pushed together and I found this uncomfortable as I was sharing with my 2 children, so didn't sleep well. Room was delayed and not ready for check in time, so we were waiting for 40 minutes, which wasn't ideal.

Some furniture not great quality. Cold buffet breakfast choices seem more restricted than last year.

The breakfast restaurant on the top floor of the hotel was lovely with stunning views over the sea - the second morning of our breakfast we were unfortunately sst in the middle of the restaurant which restricted all views. Variety of choice for breakfast wss excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We did not receive any room service during our stay. We were making our own bed and asking for tea/coffee/milk. However we did receive a bag outside our room with the tea etc in , not too sure why it was not put in our room but it was gratefully received. Room was very basic with alot of stains on the carpet. Outside our window we had a 'power plant' which made a constant droning noise day and night. We did feel because of this the room should have been slightly cheaper than rooms on the other side.

Breakfast choice was really good, speciality breakfast Fantastic eggs Benedict Room was cleaned spotlessly every day Location was perfect for everything we had planned- trips from the harbour, wedding at the registration office, quaint shops in old town

There was a constant humming sound from below the building it was annoying at night

Location. Views of Plymouth Sound and the Hoe. Penthouse Restarant. Complimentary canopes and drinks in the Astor Room.

Lift not working to car park. So must walk right around the building. Breakfast a bit chaotic. Slow to get coffee, Run out of full breakfast items on the Sunday.

Breakfast buffet, on arrival at 10:10, half the items had run out. (Baked Beans, Mushrooms and Bacon) There were 6 people queing.After waiting 5 mins a member of staff complained that she had only just replenished the buffet and seemed perplexed that people had eaten the items. On replenishing the Bacon, she stated there was nothing else left to replenish. Ultimately we ate basically what was left, but clearly the kitchen is being operated on a very tight budget and by the seat of its pants. Nobody wants waste, but this could clearly be run better.
