Close to Tower Bridge and other sites

We have stayed at the hotel before, and will most likely stay again. The hotel is in a very good location, a couple of mins walk from The Tower of London and just around the corner from the 4 Seasons hotel (they usually pick prime spots!) The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, which is rare for such a central location. The hotel staff are very friendly, informative and professional. There is a very good restaurant on site with a buffet breakfast (which we did not try this time). The room was a good size, very clean and with a super comfy bed and stylish decor. The bathroom was bright, heated mirror, good shower and great bath - perfect for our little one to bath in. Generally its an excellent hotel.

There are a few steps to go up from the street to the reception area and the lift for strollers/disabled was not working. A bit annoying with a stroller, but I guess a lot more annoying if you are in a wheelchair. The neighborhood is in a financial district and so a number of bars and restaurants around the hotel are closed on weekends, with most clientele being office workers Mon-Friday.

The room was very good except that there were no plug sockets on one side of the bed - there should always be plug sockets at the bedside. Overall, the staff were very good and friendly Breakfast was excellent, with an excellent choice. The hotel was close to many areas and tube stations.

Neither side of the bed had plug sockets. We did ask in the morning for both extra coffee and milk; when we came back to the room later, they were not there, but we asked again, and they came immediately.

The location was superb. The breakfast was also good although I would much have preferred if it was a buffet breakfast for everything (including eggs and bacon etc.) and not a la carte.

The hotel is older than I expected, the surroundings need a little updating. Also, one morning I tried to call room service for a much needed cappuccino in my room but there was no answer either from the room service or from the reception. Another time I tried calling both reception and room service, again it took quite a lot of time and calls to get a response and order. Trying to order via the app also did not work.
