Location and staff were really good . The pre booked party for 14 was well organised with good food

Had problems with electronic check in which also said we weren’t entitled to breakfast which staff eventually sorted. The bed was too soft for our personal preference. The Bradfield beer at £7 a bottle was too expensive.

The bed was very comfortable. The staff were all lovely

The bed was quite comfortable even though it was two singles pushed together. The shower in the room wasn't too bad.

The heating in the room didn't work and when we spoke to reception a small electric heater was placed in our room. We were right next to the boiler room which hummed all night and again when we informed reception at checkout we were told that she herself had complained but it had fallen on deaf ears. We were never offered an alternative room. We were told at check-in that the restaurant was open and didn't need to book, so when we we went down for an evening meal we were then told by a young waitress that we should have booked, when I said that we were told we didnt need to, she said they never tell people the right information. We were then made to wait whilst she asked the chef if we could eat. There were 2 people in the restaurant at this point. The menu was very sparse, I chose the mac and cheese gluten free option and when it arrived I asked for the garlic bread which was advertised with it, the waitress said well you can't have it because you chose the gluten free, but said but I suppose I could ask the chef to make you some. When my husband asked which vegetables came with the pork, the waitress said I don't know, I don't normally work in here they have thrown me in the deep end. After a poor experience in the restaurant we walked to the bar to settle our bill, we were met by a young waitress who was leaning on the bar, she looked over her shoulder and before we could say anything she said I can't serve you alcohol. We said we just wanted the bill. She then shouted another waitress over and said these want to pay. They then argued who was going to do it. Everything felt like such an inconvenience. The breakfast wasn't too bad, even though the staff had to nip to the shop for orange juice and my husband found a hair in his scrambled egg. The hotel was very unorganised and the staff were unprofessional, which is a shame. The blinds in the bathroom were filthy and the room was out dated.
